This is not a legit argument, thus your rant is fale.

He means that the paint will wear off of the shield. Yes, the shields red parts are painted on. I bought the set, absolutely love it. You should get it, but don't just say it's terrible because of the shield's paint. Just keep it safe and it won't wear off.

Laminate the shield.

There's many a silver painted panel I keep in their own plastic bin.

I lie, that's what I SHOULD have done, instead of letting them bop around in with all the bricks...

I don't think I'd mind the paint rubbing off. Better for MOCing that way, without the red to have to work with.

It is also for this reason I really hope they make his sword without the red at some point--pure black or something neutral.

Yeah, it's like Tuma. If I ever get him (which I don't plan on), the stickers are staying OFF.

I don't think not buying a set because of paint will make Lego realize sales dropped because of paint. Lego will think it has something to do with the way it's built or the color.

I do admit... I too would choose someone else over Skrall because of painted pieces. Again, just to send a message that paint on my figures is a big freaking NO.

At least with stickers, Lego's not wasting TOO much money and I can toss'em straight in the trash no problems.

No, no, you keep the stickers in case you can use it for a cool decal on a later MOC. (Granted, I have yet to do this, but maybe on a simple tile or something...)

I'm actually half-tempted to brasso my Skrall's shield (once I get him) now....
