Snow Day!

Man I needed this. So much stuff due... not to mention US Physics coming up.
I think I had a hilarious anecdote from over the weekend except I forgot it. So it goes. :\
I finished Stranger in a Strange Land. Pretty crazy. A lot happened over the course of the story. Of course it's also necessary to keep in mind it was 1961 when this was first published... so science and ideas change. But overall I enjoyed it.
Was out shoveling snow for a while. Arms still kinda sore. We got a lot, and that stuff is heavy...
Oh that's right, I remembered my anecdote now... well, it involves a lot of folks I know but you know, internet and privacy and all, I'll just use initials.
So it goes like this. Saturday afternoon we were supposed to have a meeting at the library for those of us on the US Physics team, to study for the quarterfinal test, right? Aside from that, the Analysis class has this take-home/group test and two guys on the Physics team, WP and AR, are also in the Analysis class. So the idea was that in the morning the Analysis class would meet at the library, and then in the afternoon WP and AR would stay around for the Physics team meeting, right?
Here's what happened, as related to me by WP:
10 AM, the scheduled time, WP arrives at the library. No one else is there.
11:30 AM, AR calls and says he's sick and won't be coming.
SA woke up late, and arrived several hours late.
12:30 PM, WP gets fed up with waiting and leaves. 12:35 PM, A... don't remember her last name actually. Unh, anyway that's when she gets there.
KS in all likelihood forgot about the entire thing. He's got that kind of memory.
2:30 PM, I arrive, with two textbooks and a load of practice problems. Nobody is there. I call AS, who says that he's sick. I call AR who informs me that he is also sick. I call WP but he doesn't pick up. Finally I call home and ask to be picked up. Shortly after calling home WP calls me and informs me of the above.
So essentially out of something like eight people who were supposed to meet at the library, no more than two people were ever there at the same time and nothing was accomplished.
These are students taking something like 5 AP courses each. Just... wow. XD
