Let There Be Mayhem
What? It's Friday the thirteenth. Which is awesome.
I love superstition ... It's most entertaining, and similarly makes good pondering material. It's also useful to work into stories (always involving witches, which are real in them, of course), simply because it's so interesting to make all these things be real. Also involving other beasts and beings, like vampires, or creatures associated with witchcraft like bats and spiders. And cats, too, although I don't see why they should be limited to black cats. As far as I'm concerned, all cats can communicate with witches and see things which have had invisibility spells put on them. Of course, black cats are naturally more sinister, seeing as they blend in with the night and black is the color generally associated with such things.
And it's most convenient that Friday the thirteenth falls in October this year, the month of Halloween ... Because the two go rather hand-in-hand. Very good inspiration for plotting.
Now I just need to find a black cat ...
