It's funny because people jump at shadows and think someone dead is after them or something to that effect. It's absurd.

Maybe absurd, but it didn't actually cause me to Laugh Out Loud multiple times.

No, the topic really is funny. Well, some of it is. A lot of the stories are soooooo fake. You can usually tell because it's written weirdly.

I've never really seen anything that makes me believe in ghosts, but they sure work well for stories.

This one.

I don't know if this can be considered as paranormal or if this is off-topic. But, there was this one point where I turned into this alternate demonic me and went into a rage when this old substitute teacher pushed me off the edge. The experience was somehow like a ghost possessed you, everything turned black; I guess, I'm drifting in my sub-consciousness or something and from there I saw myself throwing the desks into the air, charging for the teacher and all my male classmates jumped to stop me. The next thing I knew was that some of my friends had bruises and I was sprawled on the floor, my head aching. The teacher were shocked, everyone stared at me. I guess everyone has their own dark side or ghost. Kinda like Ichigo and Hollow Ichigo from Bleach. Aside from that, I feel a lot of ghosts around my neighbourhood since there were lots of old buildings here and many people commited suicide here.

I can honestly say that if people are assaulted with annoying stories like that, who can blame them for calling those who believe in ghosts kooks?

And that's perfectly fine. Some people are knee-deep in the stuff while others go their whole lives never bumping into things.

Both situations are ok.

Do realize though, that respect is in order.

People like me and others are not "jumping at shadows".

Granted, there's TONS of childish, inane, (and downright STUPID) depictions of ghosts in media as well as shows claiming to be investigating while they're just clearly manufacturing silliness.

It's the stuff that actually gets caught on film, audio and video that should be considered before dropping a blanketed poopoo statement on the whole subject.
