Why, just because Vista was buggy at release? My beta of Windows 7 seems just as stable as Vista, and it's only beta, not final product. I don't think 7 is going to be plagued with issues like Vista was. Mind you that Vista was basically a huge step up, 7 is more of a refining than a massive step so a lot of the ground work already exists.
