And as far as selling my old one, I'm a packrat. I have plenty of stuff anyone else would consider junk in my closet.

Get a computer, why? I don't like the guitar.

Because a guitar can wait. If you need a new computer, then you -need- a new computer. You can always get a new guitar anytime.

For the umpteenth time...

since you are serious about a musical career, go for the Guitar. Anything on the computer you can do well enough wtih your current one. Remember: the cyber world, even BZP, is secondary to life. Get the darn guitar and play! Play till your fingers bleed onto your platinum records.

Shut up and play yer guitar.

Computers are good regardless of age or how horribly they act, and if absolutely necessary you can always format it if you want to soft fix it.

It really depends on how dire the computer situation is. If you need a new computer then you should definitely get a new computer. However, if you're satisfied with your computer at the moment, then I'd say go for the guitar. I would also recommend selling your old guitar, but I completely understand the packrat thing. I'm the exact same way. I've got two decent guitars and 2 1/2 total junk guitars. I could sell a couple to get a really nice one, but I just can't justify spending $1000+ on a guitar. which doesn't make sense seeing as I can justify buying 2 $400+ guitars.

Ok. That got totally off topic. To summarize, buy the guitar unless you really need a new computer. You seem like you take your music very seriously.

I'd go for the Guitar, get the BRIAN MAY, and then tell me whether I should get one or not
