Where is my mummy?

 

5909 Treasure Raiders with Mummy Container

Description: Released in 1998 at a retail price of 30 bucks, sells MISB today for about 130 bucks and has become a collectors item. Containing 172 parts, 5 minifigs and the storage container, this was part of the lego adventures desert theme. This set is identical to 2879, Desert Expedition, but this is the special edition with the storage container.

 

My Take: First of all, I want the storage container, it alone is worth about 30 bucks and looks cool. The set itself is straight forward, there are a couple vehicles and a tomb to be explored. The palm tree parts are always good to have on hand and it comes with one of those scorpion things. Until next week!

Wow... I have that set and the container is storing a bunch of Lego still. What a blast from the past.

I cannot believe that a set could have a cooler car than the one in the Sphinx set. That is amazing.

That whole set looks amazing, too. You have got to love Adventurers. Large container looks awesome, I also cannot believe I have never heard of this set before, or the Desert Expedition one.

I prefer the car from Mummy's Tomb.

 

This, by the way, was the only Desert Adventurers set I never got, and now it's too expensive to bother with.

Had this one, and have the mummy in my closet right now. Only it doesn't have the headdress stickers. o_O Not sure if it ever did...
