Kinda. It's set between Super Metroid, and Metroid Fusion. So if you've heard of those, it's set between those two.

Hmm...as far as I knew, it was set just after Zero Mission, when Adam was still alive. But I could be wrong.

The graphics look awesome, the only thing I'm a little disappointed in is the fact that they somewhat cut corners in making Samus' suit. You'll agree if you see the pictures below.

I got my info from an IGN article, as well as a part in the trailer where Mother Brain from Super Metroid blasted the baby metroid. But I could be wrong as well. =/

"Set between Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion, Other M will involve Samus's commanding officer, Adam Malkovich, who dies sometime prior to Fusion."

Actually, I can confirm that you're right. I was kind of hoping that it would be before any of the Metroid games (like Wikitroid originally thought), but that didn't work out.

Also, I do have some more information on the blonde haired scientist you see at the end of the trailer. According to Yoshito Sakamato, it is "not a second Samus", but another "very, very important character".
