I've noticed this on the Internets, if you post an opinion, it will most likely get flamed by others with out said view. HOWEVER, once you say anything like "Flaming ensues" or "Flame shield activated" all flaming DOES NOT ensue. Instead everyone is just reasonable and says comments like "why would you be flamed for your opinion?" O:

 

Talk about reverse psychology at it's best.

Ha ha, I noticed something similar. If you want to state your own opinion but you don't want people to flame you for it, just put it in a quote! Then everyone will just think that you're talking about some else's opinion, and you can still get the point across!
