Poets often use many words to say a simple thing
It takes thought, and time and rhyme, to make a poem sing
With music and words, I've been playing
For you I have written a song
To be sure that you know what I'm saying
I'll translate as I go along:
Fly me to the moon
Let me play among the stars
Let me know what spring is like
On Jupiter and Mars
In other words, hold my hand
In other words, darling, kiss me
Fill my heart with song
Let me sing for ever more
You are all I longed for
All I worship and adore
In other words, please be true
In other words, I love you
