I believe that the story behind that being added to the word filter was that one member was always calling people "cool dudes", so they added it to the filter.

Nothing wrong with it though, there are few circumstance where using the word it stands for would improve the forums, even if they allow much more insulting words.

I know. I once called someone a cool dude (as in, "dude that's cool")... not knowing what it means on BZPower. I may have offended someone. :blush:

You know, how 'bout we take the LMB ruote and have words filter to nothing? You write a filtered word, post it... and it's gone without a trace.

The best method of censoring is to leave no evidence that anything was censored.

I think the Bionicle books have that word in the story all the time, so yes it's one of those words that really is not a bad thing, and I agree--I haven't been much of a fan of the cool dude thing. I believe it got censored because of some flaming some time back, and they're being safe. Which is of course, fine, but I'd like it better if they'd just censor it.

Of course, it could be just one of those lol things among BZPers, so we shouldn't take it too seriously.

Definitely a minor source of lulz. It's never bugged me, I just find it a laugh.

I think that if the post contains that word, the whole post should be filtered to say "I'm a meanie."

Woah, I have to use those last four in the BZMS.

I always replace it with "uncool dude." And half the time the reference is myself.
