Cartoon Unawareness Part 2
That's right folks, I'm not finished.
Kablam!: I grew up watching so much of this, and I love it. The show had numerous short shows in it, and its main characters were the cartoon characters, Henry and June. Stuff like Action League Now, or the music video for the They Might Be Giants song Dr.Worm, those are memories I love. I wish it had been released on DVD, but no, it wasn't...
Aaaaaah! Real Monsters!: Another Nickelodeon show. The characters were monsters going to an underground Monster Academy, and they usually got in trouble. It was a great show, man, I wish Nick had never cancelled it. Also not released on DVD. Rahr.
BZP Lovers: An animated series based on the hit movie. In it, agents J and K were up against tons of aliens, trying to keep the world from finding out about life on other planets. They worked with a bunch of aliens and humans, especially the Worms, these tan little fellows who were coffee addicts. The show had great plots, entertaining stuff, and it was original. And then it was cancelled to oblivion, and not released on DVD.
Invader Zim: What, you expect I wouldn't include this? It's a great show, created by Jhonen Vasquez, a genius in more ways than one. In it, Zim, a rejected, egotistic little fool, is shipped off to Earth with a defective robot servant, GIR, to get him out of the rest of the Irkens' way. Zim never believes he can fail or has failed, and is always trying to take over the world. Dib, a nerd with a big head and glasses, is always trying to stop him, regardless of how crazy even his own father thinks he is. Nickelodeon cancelled this show prematurely, and though they were released on DVD, there were many episodes never finished, or at least not aired. So go get at least the Season One DVD and see how funny it is, or watch some episodes on Nicktoons.
