Crackdown On Cartoon Unawareness.
Alright folks, it's time I give you all a refresher course in great cartoons that have been abused, forgotten, or not released on DVD. I'm bringing the hammer down on the issue of awesome cartoon unawareness, and I must educate your brains for the good of all existence. Let's start with one show in particular:
Beetlejuice: Oh, Elder Gods, this show is great. I watched a few episodes, and I forget most of them,. but the show had fun monsters, and of course it was funny. It was based a little loosely on the movie Beetlejuice, directed by Tim Burton, one of the greatest ever directors/producers/writers. And guess what? Just a couple of fuzzy, outdated tapes to commemorate this series. Not on DVD. Nope. Nuh uh. If you wanna know more, look up Beetlejuice on Wikipedia.
Animaniacs: You've probably seen this series at least once. And it is hilarious. Funny, comical, entertaining, it was a creation of Warner Bros, and then it was picked up by Nickelodeon. I remember Yakko, Wakko, and Dot, two brothers and their sister. They were these cartoonish cat-thingies that had been locked away in the WB watertower that is the Kid's WB mascot. But they got loose and wreaked havoc. There were also Pinky and The Brain, and other short toons that were little series..... They were released on DVD this spring. Get them. Now.
Angry Beavers: Dagget and Norbert, two squabbling beavers, who got in these hilarious adventures. They intentionally misprounounced words, and would always be the focal point for some sort of trouble. Norb was the smart one, Dag was a complete moron... This series was never released on TV, but reruns air on Nicktoons.
I have a lot more shows to blather about later folks, but now I gotta split.
