Two Life Choices

ChocolateFrogs

There are, apparently, two choices to life:

-Learn history

-Be doomed to repeat it.

I think I'll take my chances if it means not having to take history class...

Those choices do not correlate. You learn history or you don't. You repeat history or you do not? They are entwined, sure, but they are not the same. Like, perhaps you research a MOCing method used in the past that worked and got alot of praise, so you try it out for yourself with similiar results. You have thus learned and repeated history.

Keep your logic straight.

Anything that happens, happens.

Anything that, in happening, causes something else to happen, causes something else to happen.

Anything that, in happening, causes itself to happen again, happens again.

It doesn't necessarily do it in chronological order, though.

I really dig history, but I'm not too keen on history classes. Druther just seek out the stuff that interests me most on my own time.

We are not bound by our past. We are always free to choose an unprecedented path forward. ^_^

If there's no road, we'll pave it with our own hands!

History keeps repeating itself. It should just stop talking and let other subjects speak.

Apparently we haven't learned from history. As children, we generally hate classes for school because we sit in a room with people we hardly know, study for things we don't care about, and lose precious hours of sleep and constructive living, but parents send us anyway. When we grow up, we go to college to learn more stuff but still hate going through the classes, while sometimes not even learning anything anyway, and we still waste a semester of sitting in a room with people we hardly know, studying for things we don't care about, and losing precious hours of sleep and constructive living. Why do we keep torturing ourselves for education? If we hated learning in a classroom the first several years, why we would suddenly enjoy for several more?

And then we send our kids off to school, all the while knowing they hate it too.
