There is a water-fountain outside my school's library. There are four bricked paths leading up to it, and the bricks/pavers on the very sides of the path have little plaques on them, usually engraved with a name of whoever donated enough money to be able to get something written on it.

 

HOWEVER

One plaque is this:

Also, this is a sign at a store on the way to The Old Rag. Huh?

Dude, I've seen that exact sign.

Which means I've been to your town, or somewhere exactly like it. Or at least I've been somewhere that you've been. Gads, details...

A local restaraunt in my area has a similar one. It says;

 

On this site in 1897, nothing happened

 

funny signs like that are cool. it's even better when you know the story behind it.
