Typical of my friend's family, they had plenty of fireworks and such to celebrate the new year's beginning with.

Including one pipe firework (like, a real one that would shoot into the sky), some roman candles, sparklers of various sizes, and firecrackers (way fun).

But that was at midnight. During the day we played Apples to Apples and Sardines (in which I was amazing and hid behind a curtain for about 20 minutes), and watched Juff Dunham's Spark of Insanity and showed a friend the first episode of Firefly.

Stayed up until 3. Woke up at 9 for church (New Years Day was a very inconvenient day to pick as a Holy Day of Obligation, IMO), and then had to work at 5 so I had to leave and leave my friends ;_; while I went home.
