Hero Factory Thoughts

I'd rather buy an overpriced Agori or Stars.

Unless other sets really stick out to me as being useful in MOCing, I'll definitely have more money to buy some System stuff. (Which is a good thing.)

I don't even think I want a helmet or two. I'd rather just stick to the Bionicle I have.

Granted, these are just small sets. Not that they look impressive or anything.

I agree.

This may be completely irrelevant, but where did you get that giant bubble/hamster ball, CF?

Agree with me?

Also, Wayne Coyne.

No, j/k.

Oh, I see. All that entry has is a picture. (I thought it might have explained too...)

(And wow we're off topic.)

(Why didn't you just ask this in that entry?)

Anyway, my college had a fun party/field day thing the weekend before finals Spring 2009. This was part of it. When I saw, from my dorm room window, that they had them, I knew I had to try it out.

The definitely did not having MOCing in mind when they created the Hero Factory sets, but then again, why should they? I imagine the audience they're going for want something to play with relatively quickly, not something to build. I think they're pretty nifty, being an action figure guy myself, but yeah. There's not much of a reason to buy if you're more into the building aspect.

I'm buying Jimi Stringer just for the name.

Well, and the hands and feet.

Also, Duncan Bulk, because omg finally new silver hands and feet and the helmet looks pretty cool.

Actually, all their helmets look pretty cool, along with their weapons.

Other than that, I'm reserving my judgment until they're actually released. We have yet to see the larger sets, after all. ;)

I like the way they look in general. The lower leg flare thing like in all the Transformers Animated figures is something I still like. It's neat how their hands sort of go into their weapons, idk but I think it looks neat. Also some of those helmets are amazing (Natalie Breeze's namely).

But man the names are cheesy. I really can't see this gaining even half as much of a following as BIONICLE, either.
