Hero Factory

If the series is as cheesy as the name implies, I believe we will be seeing something along the lines of Exo-Force.

:kaukau:Of course, it could not be cheesy. However, intuition moves to the contrary.

Now, of course, if it was epic, it would go along the lines of something like this:

There's a giant high-tech factory the size of a city. The human race is extinct, but the factory is capable of running by itself. It has several fusion reactors that keep it powered forever and a giant mining machine that digs all the way down to the Earth's mantle to get supplies. The factory was owned by a mega-corporation called "Hero", who led the world in advanced robotic manufacturing. It would design all sorts of robots for all sorts of purposes. After the human race died away, Hero's main factory kept on running. Fortunately, their memories live on, for before their enigmatic extinction Hero had begun the first line of truly self-aware robots. They began designing further, and soon diversity arises. Something of a robotic ecosystem emerges. There is no world without life. The robot civilizations live in this giant city-sized factories in their own sections.

Later in the series, another factory is made, this time not for machinery. The robots are trying to recreate their long-lost heroes and ancestors, the human race, by cloning them. This causes controversy among robots, and there are forces who oppose this.

It is then found out that the human race died creating a vicious creature much like the xenomorph from Alien. They experimented with life, and suffered the consequences. The monsters are still a threat to even the robots.

There would be three or six central characters, one of which would ultimately be the main character. They would have names unlike those in Bionicle, and they would be more along the lines of actual human names, since the "herobots" would want to honor their creators. Naming styles, however, would very between the different sects of herobots. For example, one group might have names based on famous figures while another might have mainly puritan names such as "Charity" and "Faith". The series will start out with these characters and they will each have a distinct characteristic that makes them them, much like Kopaka was blatantly cold and Pohatu was blatantly goodhearted. The main character will be very curious, much like Takua, and thus he makes great discoveries over and over again as secrets of the factory and the monsters are uncovered.

And his name will be Julius Kraggh (JK).

Don't you mean the 2000th comment :P

Also, I like the sets, not the names.

I suspect the story will be more like Agents - back-story, segmented missions, but no driving storyline or continuity, to leave more up to the imagination.

:kaukau:How do you even keep track of that?

Anyways, the sets look epic. I don't say this too often (I'm not sure I've ever said it at all) but the sets are everything I hoped for. They remind me of the slizers, which is a huge accomplishment. I mean, they have that originality there.

The names are kind of lame. But hey, it looks like I was right when I said that some of them would have human names. I particularly like Natalie Breez. Their last names are a bit, well, meh. Still, at least there's something new.

What really blows me away are the helmets. I really like them. The only thing that challenges them are the color schemes. Still, the helmets have a simplicity to them that doesn't take away from them being cool.

It's a tad bit of a shame I'm going to waste all of my money on Skopio and the Bionicle Stars. I don't think I'll be getting these new sets, unless I get some for my birthday, but I'll be asking for the Bionicle Stars instead. Perhaps for Christmas.

Unfortunately, all the images I'm seeing are by all means computer generated, and some pieces look questionable. It makes me wonder how much change is going to take place between now and production.

Emperor Kraggh
