Sleepwriting

The following is an unretouched excerpt from my NaNoWriMo piece that I have good reason to believe was written at least partly in my sleep. The other part was in a state of extreme fatigue resulting in slightly increased coherence, and the very first part was a quote taken from an IM convo that I inexplicably wanted to get into the story somehow but ended up sticking in at a random place to make my word count quota. Somebody mentioned dream sequences as a method of padding one's story, so I made good on that suggestion this one time.

"Tenants and tenets look similar, and landlords usually have both, but in this case you'd use the latter." Just then, a horde of sleep=deprived gremlins arrived in the story to do some damahe and also to vandalize things just for the lulx. David din't nen receptio oujyotice them, so deep was hs sleep, but some appeared to Anaka, whi said to five him large amounts of food because finally Abrose was dounf in s iwhere nobody could follow him, not ven Anaka. A pai AND THEN STUDD HAPPENED AND THEY GET TO A NEW WORLD BECAUSE aRPTY IS TIRED LIKE HECK YEAH OKAY AND I AT AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAunqtnsi u CAB FUBD TGE KIVE SUSGU0ST

YKE well darn man how bout that fo shizzle kay and I can I go to bed now lulz YES HOORAH

Is it a coincidence that the excerpt has to do with sleep deprived characters or did you subconsciously write that cause you were tired? :P

I'm pretty sure I have something like this in like, every one of my NaNoWriMo novels. At least once. If not several times.

I do recall one of them where I broke down and had Spock come in on a hoverboard from the future and give my character sage advice that made no sense, but only made sense to him in a way that would advance the plot, and also there were unicorns and sparkles. And all this was when he was like, running from the police or something. Or maybe from Nazis. Man, that one got weird near the end.

The mini-movie that I just played in my mind while reading that was kind of really awesome.
