Party Trouble

Woot, after working on it for almost 2 years, I finally finished rewriting my story "Party Trouble" which was the first of a series of stories I used to have on my laptop before it was stolen. :glare: (Referred to as BT, Before Theft) It was a story about a terrorist attack at a fancy party that is twarked by Team J.A.F. (Yes, that it what my blog is named after) Problem is, I won't be posting this on BZP because of its graphic content (not so much the fights as the language... I sometimes write with a foul mouth. :P ) among other things. I don't know if I'll ever post it online either, since I've borrowed some friends' names for the characters (both good and bad) But it was an old plot I came up with long ago, and I'm glad that I have it rewritten.

Now, to start on the sequels: Fête Problème, and Un Día de los Lagartos Mal en la Fiesta de los Problemas.

...

Anyway, what do you think of using the names of people you know in your stories? I'm very unimaginative when it comes to names, so I sometimes borrow my friend's names and a few personality traits, and create a new character who is sometimes very different than the actual person. Thing is, I never do it with permission, so thus I feel a bit uncomfortable posting it around online. Yeah...

I never use the names of people I know in my stories, mostly because everyone I know has ordinary, real life names, while I generally tend to write BIONICLE fanfiction and science-fantasy stories, both of which probably wouldn't work well with real life names XD.

I'm not against other authors using names of people they know in real life, but I don't use and don't intend to use them anytime soon, if at all.

I thought this was about you having a party and getting in trouble for it.

That would have made an interesting entry.

Instead, I am disappoint.

You are also bad grammar.

I never use the names of people I know when writing, although I don't know why. My solution to this problem would be to look at lists of baby names until you find a suitable name, and then use that one, unless, of course, the name is still the name of a friend. Of course, in my case I almost never write anymore, so meh. >_>
