One time when I was six or seven, I couldn't find a pencil. I looked everywhere for it, and because it made sense to my elementary school mind, I left the house alone to see if I somehow dropped it on the roads outside. It was in my hand the entire time.

I know how you feel. Things like that happen to me all the time

Hate it, hate it, hate it. All the time, too.

Like, when I'm looking for a coat and it's in the middle of the floor.

I hope that's what's happened with my father's expensive leather gloves, because if I dropped them outside walking home from church, that's about a mile of snowy mush to search through, and I'm in big trouble.

Then I lose about a pencil per day in school, and even have to get new notebook regularly. I'm very bad at this. Not just losing things in plain sight, but just at losing things in general.

I suppose that to some extent it beats my sister's habit of breaking everything she touches, though.
