Teachers...

It is weird. See, a friend of mine and I both draw. And I have to say that she's not worse at it than I am. In fact, her lines are much more precisely done than mine.

However, 80% of the teachers either ignore her, or just take a short glance and then talk on.

Take our Biology teacher, for example. She came to my place (Y'know, where I sit) during class, looked at one of my drawings (since I do something nearly every day) and started to talk about how good it was and that I should go to university and study arts and whatnot.* Then my friend mentioned that she has drawings, too. In fact, she said that about 3 times. But the teacher completely ignored her. That's just so unfair!

I needed to get that off my mind.

*I totally hate it when something like that happens... not that I wouldn't be happy 'bout the compliments, but it makes me feel uneasy, and I don't know what to say then. -.-

Ah what a load a baolgea T_T

My teachers treated me different and others like me the same way.

My 4th grade teacher was espcially neglectful and treated me like I was some

total idoit. And she said my name wrong all the time just to tick me off.

I'm not gonna say anymore but bleh to Teachers like that.

Plus I'm gonna find alot of ppl will not appreciate my work and only a few will.

Cherish the crits you do get from the few, you won't go unrewarded ;)

How is it possible for such to happen? I understand that your teacher might´ve had her mind on something else, and only could show her interest in ways such as commenting a few outstandingly great things, but I really don´t believe anyone would ignore such calls of attention. You´re sure she noticed your friend at all?

Seems like a pretty casual Biology class. =P

But, I guess that feeling exists more in my school. I go to a high school specializing in the arts, so there will usually be someone who draws better. Everyone crowds around the extremely good artist and gives compliments and stuff, and just ignores me or whoever else is there who are also drawing.

Even the worst artists (depending on your definition of 'worst') deserve attention.
