The process by which a positron and an electron encounter each other and cancel each other out. Leaving gamma energy.

 

Bet you didn't know annihilation was a scientific term. And an awesome one at that. :D

Actually, I did. I've been studying electrones and positrones at school, so yeah, I knew that. But it's awesome indeed. =P
