So I was sitting in my room quietly browsing the internet when this weird swirly portal thing opened in front of me. This weird guy I'd never seen stepped out and asked what year it was. I told him it was 2010, and he said "Good". He told me he was from the year 2000. Then he asked me when this stupid "Bionicles" thing he heard about had died. He said the simplistic story of some robots fighting on an island would never be as deep as the RoboRiders story, and that LEGO deserved to go bankrupt for making such a stupid decision.

 

So I told him about how successful BIONICLE had been since it started, detailing the complex twists and turns of the story. He just sort of sat there in a trance. Then I mentioned that it was just now ending, and that a new theme called "Hero Factory" was taking its place. I told him all that I knew about it (which wasn't much). When I mentioned some of their names (Blaze, Surge, Thunder), he looked at me and exclaimed "Those sound like RoboRider names! There's still hope!" He then jumped up, shook my hand vigorously, thanked me, and jumped back through the portal, which then disappeared.

this is probably the best Bionicle/HF-comparing entry I've read in a long time and deserves another approving of the blog.

Some guy appears from ten years in the past and you talk about LEGO sets? Talk about a wasted opportunity. :rolleyes:

Not really, first thing i'd ask 10 years in the Future is "Is Bionicle back?"

 

Then I'd worry about all that other stuff.

Yeah, but the portal was open for the entire time you and him were sitting there discussing storyline! You should've biffed the guy and jumped through his portal back to save the world!
