Well, it's been a long time coming, and some of you may have suspected it from your interactions with me, but I'm getting a little tired of answering all the questions and being the target of so many insinuations and, all things considered, I think the time has come for me to be completely open. To that end, I would like to officially announce that I am a gay American and proud of it. To my fellow gay people, don't be afraid of who you are. I was for a long time, and it caused me no end of pessimism and despair. But now that I've decided to make an active effort to be gay each day, my life is going much better. So, be gay and be proud! Let us all celebrate!

P.S. I would also like to congratulate my good friends EW and Nukaya (<3 you both) on their impending nuptials and wish them the best of luck in their life together. Be sure to attend the wedding if you can; I'll be there in my copper fishnet stockings as the bridesmaidperson. It promises to be the social event of the decade!
