I define hipster scum as anyone who says that Neutral Milk Hotel is overrated and tries to troll other hipsters by saying so, while secretly loving it because they have a heart, or actually hating it because they don't.

Anyway, I gave up on being a hipster once I realized that one of my favorite musicians yodels about being a cowboy, which kinda makes any point I have moot. So yeah, NMH FTW.

I don't really care whether other people like it. I don't really care whether other people think I listen to hipster garbage because of it. All I know is that it truly took music to a form of art. I don't really care if you don't agree. I just love it.

Okay, first of all, I love lo-fi, folk music like it, and songs like Part 1 and ITAOTS are beautiful, but the album isn't nearly perfect in all ways. The voice is way too whiny for me, and Two-Headed Boy, unghhh.

Yeah, the lyrics are very good, but that voice is so whiny, and the music really isn't the most interesting (<3 that trumpet though). And yes I used to listen to it and was obsessed with it, but I've just found other music
