Firefox Extensions

Adblock Plus--A must for every Mozilla Firefox user.

Gmail Notifier--sits in the corner, out of the way, and lets me know how many unread messages I have in my Gmail inbox, and when a new message comes in.

Google Wave Add-on for Firefox--same as the Gmail notifier. Handy so I don't have to check Wave all the time for the messages I never have.

Firefox Personas-- <3

Speed Dial--In a new tab it allows for a list of whatever websites you want it to. Kind of like having the bookmarks toolbar, yet different. Also, Ctrl+# will open a new tab with that page, so it's a plus as a keyboard shortcut versus the bookmarks toolbar.

Xmarks--keeps track of my bookmarks, and then syncs wherever else I have it installed, like a portable Firefox or Google Chrome.

Tab Wheel Scroll--appropriate laziness strikes again! I can put my mouse pointer on the tab bar and use the scroll wheel to go from tab to tab, much easier and less strenuous than having to click on the tab or use Ctrl+Tab. I really wish I could add this extension to Chrome.

And then one more I don't think I can mention, as it links to another website.

Here are the ones I use, in addition to AdBlock and Personas:

ColorfulTabs: Colors every tab a different color and makes them easy to distinguish. You can specify colors, but I just use it as-is.

CoLT: Right click on a link and a menu comes up that lets you choose how you want to copy the link -- as HTML, Plain Text, BB Code, FuseTalk, or Wikipedia. I use the first three all the time.

CoolPreviews: Mouse over a link and a window pops up that shows you what the link links to. Makes my post approving job so much easier.

DownloadHelper: Helps you download music and videos.

I've had a few others from time to time, but these are the ones I use on a regular basis.

I use Fast Video Download, Media Converter and WOT (Web of Trust). I recommend the latter 'coz it's cool and probably saved my computer from more than a few viruses. :P

Adblock Plus is a great example of why Firefox/Open Source/Not IE works so well: code can be made and installed by the users that will block out ads on a website. As opposed to IE who I guess has to worry about that stuff since they make money and whatnot.
