Minifigs!

Local TRU had them.

I was standing there for at least 30 minutes feeling the bags. Sooner or later we'll have an official list of barcodes to just match up, but for now here are mine. Someone on Flickr has posted an American barcode list...and recently removed it. Huzzah, however, for Brickset.

Luckily I got the ones I initially wanted. Later I'll pick up two ninjas (one for a friend), a cheerleader (for my sister), a nurse, and maybe the caveman, Indian and/or robot.

This is actually the first good look at the stands that I've gotten. They could come in handy, less labor intensive than the normal 2x1 with stud in middle pieces.

Hm, and the Lego store doesn't carry these till June...

It is like a mega-jumper plate: a 3x4 with 4studs lining the middle, as you can see. I can not wait to use them in a clever and/or aesthetic way.

However, I also would have understood if LEGO made the Toy Story Army Men stands black for these, as they achieve the same effect. You know, save money on a new mold and all.

Wow, you have these already! And the stands come with them?

No I stole the picture from somewhere online and the stands are cheap Brand-M knock-offs.

Calm down, I just never knew that the stands came with the figs.

$2 each, USD. Which is a great deal for a minifig. $32 (+tax) for a complete set. Or, in my case, I only want a few, so I will be spending less than $20 in the end and I will have some cool figs.

Granted, there has been discussion online of the quality of the figs (to achieve such a low price). If they are of lesser quality, the only thing I can tell is I think the legs might be a smidgen looser around the waist. Which is not a big deal.

Especially when you weigh the pros against the cons. These things are amazing.
