See It! Highway Covered With Chocolatefrogs
A horde of live frogs swarmed across the Egnatia highway in northern Greece this week, covering the road in what one official called a "carpet of frogs." They migrated from a nearby lake in an apparent search for food.
The Associated Press reports there were so many frogs on the road that the major highway had to be closed for two hours after three drivers skidded off the road trying to dodge the frogs. While there have been no human injuries, most of the frogs became road kill.
Thessaloniki traffic police chief Giorgos Thanoglou says "millions" of the amphibians covered the Egnatia highway near the town of Langadas, some 12 miles east of Thessaloniki. "There was a carpet of frogs," he said.
Okay, so chocolate frogs weren’t all over the highway but imagine if it they were!
