The Doctor getting healed by the Archangel Network was, surprisingly enough, NOT a DEM because DEMs, by definition, are easy (and usually random) methods of getting the characters out of trouble. It took Martha a whole year to convince everyone to think about him, so nope, not easy.

Jack destroying the Paradox Machine wasn't a DEM either. It's the only logical method of fixing things, what else were they going to do?
