Inception

Neaku

Movie of the year.

All years.

It's currently #3 on IMDb's top 250 movies list. I understand it will probably go down, but that's pretty big.

But seriously, go see it. I loved it. The only problem I had was (spoilers because I don't want to spoil ANYTHING):

Leo and Mal had grown old in limbo right? Then how come when they killed themselves with the train, they were young again? I understand it could be something with limbo but I didn't think it worked that way.

And the ending. Really? I like how it is currently but I feel it wouldn't have as much controversy if the last couple seconds were done differently.

Also went to that record store nearby me, and it was alright. They had a lot more vinyl and posters etc than the one I saw in Canadialand, but there were less lesser-known band CDs. I ended up buying Teen Dream by Beach House. I almost went with Broken Social Scene's Forgiveness Rock Record, but I figure I would be able to find that again a bit more easily.

I think it was that they were young because that's how they saw each other.

For some reason I can't see what's underneath the spoiler in the blog entry, but judging from Exo's response I'm going to assume some things and hopefully answer to that assumption:

If you asking why we didn't see Cobb and Mal appear as an old couple in Limbo...

We did. You see an elderly couple walking down the city Cobb and Mal built. You also see old, wrinkled hands lying down on the railroad tracks, with the camera shaking, meaning the train was coming. All of these flashbacks occur when Cobb is holding Mal in Limbo after Mal is shot. He says something along the lines of "Don't you remember? We did grow old..." and then those memories I just described flash on the screen.

If that had nothing to do with your initial question, sorry. If you post it in a comment I should see it. :P

EDIT: I viewed the source code of your entry and found what was underneath the spoiler tags, and yes, I assumed right. You should find my answer quite satisfying. Don't worry, I only noticed the second time I saw the movie.

I've been asking around and apparently their faces were never shown on the train tracks or something and I had just assumed they were young. I thought I had seen their faces, but I could be wrong.

I really should watch it a second time, even if just to see the beginning scenes again.

I don't think you ever see their faces, but you do see an elderly couple a few times during the last few minutes while Cobb is holding Mal in limbo.

And yea, you should see it again. B)

As for the ending:

It's the biggest twist ever to make the audience question what just happened, where the character's really are, etc. Like, what if Mal was right? But we'll never see for ourselves, making at least me go through the movie in my mind thinking about instances where they aren't really in reality.

I can totally understand ranking it at #3. Wow.
