I got the "Star Wars Best of PC" a couple years ago when I got my laptop. I got bored with EAW because single player only tides me over so long and I couldn't find any decent mp games online.

Republic Commando. I want to know why it's not recognized for the awesomeness that it is. It's like part Halo and part L4D ala Star Wars. Although, that game is starting to get too easy for me. I remember when parts were beastly hard on the hardest difficulty. Now I blow through them on my first try. Still buckets of fun though.

And for some reason the News tab under Steam won't show me what Tuesday's deal was. Just that Monday's was TFU.

Seriously though, looking through the LucasArts selection on steam, I either don't want it or already have it. The only exception is Jedi Academy, because Jedi Outcast was just too much fun (once I finally figured it out, d=) I might need the sequel. I wants my double-blade.

I probably won't be playing multi because I'm bad at RTSes and this probably won't be an exception. :P Though I still enjoy them, and having played the demo, I think this will be worth the 5 dollars I spent.

As for Republic Commando, I've never had a chance to play it myself but a few years ago I did watch a friend play it and it looked amazing.

Tuesday's sale was KoTOR.

The Jedi Knight games look pretty cool. I'll have to see if I can find a demo for any of them.

kotor is worth it alone for HK-47

I was contemplating getting KoTOR, but I watched some gameplay videos and the realtime/turn-based gameplay doesn't appeal to me.

Aww man! The story and characters alone are worth it! I was skeptical about the turn-based combat at first as well, but no sane person would ever pass this up!

Anyways, if you get JKII: Jedi Outcast, look up the "realistic saber combat" cheat. Much more satisfying. When your lightsaber hits a guy at the wrist his hand will actually be shorn off and he'll just grab his arm and drop to his knees in pain. Also, when somebody falls off an edge to their death, I think this is the only game I've ever played where they actually scream LIKE. THEY. ARE. DYING. Blood-curdling I tell ya. Most satisfying.

And the force powers are amaaaaaazing. You can pull the blaster rifle right out of a stormie's hands and he'll just raise his hands in surrender. Of course you can leave him there. Or you can put a nice plasma bolt through his skull. Or force push him to his death if that's your fancy. Perhaps the best option though is, with a little practice, you can use a third level force grip to send him soaring straight up, only to have him SCREAM until he lands right back at your feet with a final AUGH! and a satisfying crunch. This game is like the butt-kicking granddaddy of The Force Unleashed. You can also use cheats to change your saber color and all kiiiiinds of things, like spawning 20 Luke Skywalkers and 50 Rodians and just watching them go at each other.

My only complaint about the game is sometimes it's hard to figure out a couple puzzles or where the karzahni you're supposed to go next. That, and when I first started playing it I found myself getting dizzy at times, but not anymore.

...

I really should have just made a blog entry myself reviewing this. d= I'll see if I can find you some good videos to PM you though...

I never realized you were THIS bloodthirsty. Tak. =P

There is no blood, so I'm not blood-thirsty. But I appreciate the fact that the game is a bit more real in terms of the way people react when they're hurt.

I've suddenly the urge to go play this now just thinking about it.

In al seriousness though, the flip-side of the fact that "falling screams" are so realistic, I laugh my head of because of it. I mean, my two favorites are Luke Skywalker and Tavion. I'll find a cliff somewhere, spawn them right next to the edge, and immediately force push them off just to listen. If I remember correctly, Tavion's ends in some weird gurgling noise and Luke's just seems to go foreeeeeeever.

EDIT: Off-topic, but I seem to recall that someday we were supposed to do a Haz/Tak/(E)rik/Xae L4D2 romp. We should set up a time for that. d= I'mma record it even!
