20: Opening Post Of Eb:oc Part 2
Luminator hummed nervously to himself in the empty room. The members of Cruise #7 were soon to arrive. Any moment they would appear. The AI could not withstand the prolonged wait. What would they be like? Would they like him? Would they help him figure what was going on with Cruise #6 and all these mysterious rumors of other islands? Would they care?
He supposed that they might just want to be on a cruise, but why would they be? Whoever had sent the flyers for Cruise #6 did it in the most corrupted of places. That he remembered. But most everything else about Cruise #6 and the locations that surrounded him was all just a forgotten blip in his short life. He had just turned seven months old. And just barely. And before he knew what had happened, six of those months were deleted from his memory banks. Well, most of it, anyway. The rest was locked up, corrupted, or sawed off. So he not so patiently awaited the arrival of beings who could help him figure out what was going on.
And he meant that, too. He had no clue who had even made him or what his main programming was supposed to be. Perhaps he had been the one that had led Cruise #6 astray. He didn't know. He didn't remember. Sighing, Luminator looked over the bare room. Yes, it was all ready for guests. They had just yet to arrive.
