Cryoshell Song Review

1: Creeping In My Soul: You can really tell that this song was written for BIONICLE. The rapping lyrics interject every now and then, giving the song a nice eclectic mix, though I'd prefer it to be all non-rap.

2: Bye Bye Babylon: The "uncensored" version, it really evokes the "epic-rock" genre, though the lyrics really don't make too much sense. It's the longest song on the album at 4:37. I like the electric guitar solo around 3:40. It also ends abruptly, something I don't quite like.

3: Trigger: Why is this song called "trigger"? The word only appears once in the song. "It's Time" would be a better name. The song is pretty good, though I guess you could confuse it with some other songs of theirs because there's nothing to make it really stand out. Another really good electric guitar piece around 3:00.

4: Feed: An instrumental version would sound really nice, but the lyrics make no real sense. It's faster-paced, which I like, with not much silence between some lines. 2:40 has a nice re-recorded radio effect punctuated with riffs, a really nice touch. Another good guitar piece around 3:00.

5: Closer to the Truth: Not much to say but that I really, really like this song. Their BIONICLE songs are better than their others, if you ask me.

6: Falling: I like the tune to this - it reminds me of Matoro's death because of the lyrics. Not much else to say.

7: The Room: This song is more like a ballad, though the lyrics are all over the place, ranging from hopeful to scared to even love.

8: Come to my Heaven: If John Williams made rock music, it might sound like the tune to this track. Can't say much in the way of the lyrics, sadly enough.

9: Murky: Why "Murky" is the name of this song will forever elude me. The word appears a grand total of ZERO times. Everything else is pretty good.

10: No More Words: It sounds like GLaDOS from Portal is singing it at first. It's a song that really suits Teridax and his "plan".

Wow. You actually reviewed it. I just listened to it and said "Meh, not really my taste. Still goes on my iPod"

:P

Say, where do you live? You got it the same day I did.

I write song lyrics all the time and choose titles that are not mentioned int he song per say, but a lot of times singers do that because of alteration, etc. 'Murky' envokes a cold, dreary theme--hence Murky.

Ever listened to "Two Steps From (fiery place I cannot mention)"? They're completely non lyrical, but since they do such strong emotive songs they name them that way. Very good namings, too.
