Calling All Homeschoolers!

Canama

Care to trade lives? I'm stuck going to public school and I really want to kill myself.

Also post testimonials about homeschooling here. My mom will never homeschool me but at least I can win our ongoing argument over it.

Someday, you two will get married to some women who live on whatever area of the globe you live on.

And your wives will have kids.

And I will track you both down and eat them.

I don't want t-

... 0_o Might wanna rephrase that first sentence Canama. =P

Anyway; as I was saying.

I don't want to trade lives; but more for your sake than mine; though also partly mine. But Homeschooling is very, very good. =)

I'd trade lives, but I go to public school.

Perhaps you and someone else could do it for SCIENCE?

And yes it needed to be in all caps.

If don't mind me asking, what about public school make you want to kill yourself? Is it the environment? The teachers? The material? Teaching style?

I am just curious is all since I personally can't say from my experience in the public school system (Which I am a graduate of and proud of it.) that I ever felt this way. And well, I like to understand your reasoning for feeling this way.

Everything. It's just... not for me.

#1 problem is the environment, though. A lot of adults (At least at my school) have adopted the "Bullying is just a harmless phase" mentality and never do anything about it. They always say, "[schoolname] has a zero tolerance policy!" but it never gets enforced.

But it's honestly a really awful problem. The only thing I have learned about social interaction is that "People are scum and should be avoided. The only way to ever contact the outside world should be over the internet."

Y'know those kids who just snap? I understand how they felt... I really do.

Yeah, that's not true. =P(The interaction thing)

But have you tried to talk to anyone about the bullying problems; even the principal or so? Even ask about the Zero Tolerance policy.

And it's partly because you'd have high school stuff, Grade 12 to be exact. =P

Based on my experience? It is.

The staff doesn't really care. That cliche about adults being useless? It's true.

You're new. You don't have anybody to back you up, and maybe that's a big problem.

I personally don't have an problem with public school.

Actually, some of these same group of kids I've been with since Kindergarden.

I have been with even more of them since fifth grade.

And I have been with all of them except for a few new kids since seventh.

I am definitely not new.

Well that might be because of country differences; but not everyone is like that. It's not just the internet that you can find good people...

Then tell people; but don't let it just happen. It won't help if you do that. Just saying. ;)
