See, it's the fantastic daily deals on AmazonMP3 that make it superior to iTunes. That and the fact that no special program is needed to listen to the music you buy, just any media player will do.

I've found that iTunes music overall is slightly higher quality (m4a ftw) but amazon does have those amazingly good deals sometimes.
