Waffles Posted December 19, 2010 Reminds me of the Xenomorphs from Alien actually. Quote Link to comment
Kothra Posted December 19, 2010 Metroid was partly influenced by Alien, but that there is clearly a Metroid reference. Quote Link to comment
MT Zehvor Posted December 19, 2010 Yeah, it's Metroid(the achievement name which kinda got cut off is "Mother, My Brain Hurts." -MT Quote Link to comment
Chols Posted December 19, 2010 I'd say that might have been a headcrab reference or anything similar, but the reference to the morph ball is obvious. How does she fit inside that ball anyway? It doesn't look proportionately large enough for her body. o_0 Quote Link to comment
MT Zehvor Posted December 19, 2010 The idea is that her body is turned into pure energy and it fits inside of the suit, which is transformed into the two metal halves of the sphere(you can see the usually green energy if you look at it in either the Prime series or Other M). Kinda ridiculous, but hey, who am I to judge Chozo technology(I do love the Pirate scans on the Morph Ball in Prime). -MT Quote Link to comment
Kothra Posted December 19, 2010 The morphball is actually pretty large, so curling up isn't really a problem anyway. Quote Link to comment
MT Zehvor Posted December 19, 2010 In Prime it is(being about 1/2 of her size). In the 2D games it's only about 1/4th of her size, which would make it pretty ridiculous if not for the energy transfer theory. -MT Quote Link to comment
Kothra Posted December 19, 2010 No, they're still ~1/2 her size in the 2D games. In the 3D ones its slightly more, in the 2D ones it's slightly less. But I suppose you're still right about the theory behind it. Quote Link to comment
Chols Posted December 20, 2010 Well then again the Power Suit is really bulky so maybe that just throws the proportions off. Quote Link to comment
KohlidudeandZehvorDakama Posted December 23, 2010 What is Singularity anyway? Simply put, its an FPS based on time travel. Quote Link to comment
Xaeraz Posted December 23, 2010 What is Singularity anyway? Simply put, its an FPS based on time travel. More complexly, You're US Black Ops who travels to an island where Russians have found Element 99, AKA Element MacGuffin, which can do whatever the plot requires. You use the TMD, or Time Manipulation Device, to manipluate time to solve puzzles and whatnot. Quote Link to comment
