Oh No It's A Dream!

This happens to me every once in a while. I'll be dreaming that I'm back in Colorado (where I grew up). I've wanted to go back to visit for a while, but my travel plans have never quite followed through. So then I dream that I'm back there, and one of the first things I always think is "Oh man, I've been wanting to come back here for so long, and at least it's not a dream this time." Then somewhere down the line it's like, "Waiiiit... this is a dream. Curses!"

This wouldn't be so weird if it didn't keep happening every time my dreams take me there. My subconscious is weird. Or it hates me.

And yes, I can talk about dreams because this is my blog. And here's a philosophical question; how can you tell that this reality you experience is not just another dream? Answer: if it was my dream it wouldn't have this stupid philosophy questions in it! :P

How do we know that life itself isn't a dream? Perhaps when we die, the afterlife shall be spent sitting around and telling others all about our dreams, each dream taking place in its own universe. "Wow, in your dream gravity pulled you down and it rained water? Freaky. In my dream the sun was green and there were six days in a week."

Something I thought of as a child...

I love dreams. They're fun to invade and kill people in.

They're not real! They're just projections!

Quick! Spin your totem and see if we're in a dream.

I always know when I'm dreaming because, on the rare occasions I actually remember dreaming, my dream are always messed up. Not as in nightmares, but as in generally and persistently weird
