I mean, visiting Hawaii was great and all but it's so gosh darn warm. This trip lasted much longer than anticipated. Looking at the weather in San Marcos is rather exciting. Highs of sixties sounds sooo nice right now. Just another week! And then school starts. Also signed up for four classes at Austin Community College, so I guess it's not a huge deal, but it is the first time I'll be doing any kind of not-home-school-school. Which will be good.
Never came back. =/ At least I have some pictures of the MOC I sent so I can bricklink the more important parts that have gone missing. Still, a pain. I've never had a box get lost in the mail before.
The wait for my yellow Lumia wouldn't be so bad if I even had the faintest timeframe as to when it will arrive. I took that challenge, even though the commercials are really obnoxious. It's weird, because I feel like I generally have preferred Bing in the past (it's my default on Chrome), but in ALL the blind searches I chose Google. I guess I just have Microsoft bias. Or I was searching for things that didn't really turn up disparate results so it was a fifty fifty toss up. I do feel like Bing turns up more relevant results when asking questions.
The audio jack is on the bottom... why? Just... why? Also a big "why" to the entire phone. Admittedly I've never been a fan of Apple products, but I can readily admit that up through the iPhone 4 they had a really good product lineup. But the 4s and 5 have just been sad offerings, and people just lap it up. I recommend everyone look up the segment Jimmy Fallon did on the iPhone 5 and then explain it to me in a way that makes western culture not seem terrible.
All the apps in the Metro UI keep force closing. =/ Since the regular desktop works pretty much the same I don't much mind, except the touchpad's multi touch inputs have stopped working. I miss easy scrolling. ;_; On the plus side, it turns out the problem I was having with my disc drive was purely software, as before it didn't even register my computer had a disc drive, but now it works fine. Nokia's Lumia 920 looks great. A lot is still on the air for it (like how good the camera actually is) but I think I'll probably get one when it comes out. My current phone is the Samsung Infuse so it's pretty old by smartphone standards. I'd never consider an Apple, I just don't like them. I was going to get a Note 2, or maybe S3, but the Nokia just looks more interesting, and the camera seems to be better. Plus it looks a lot more stylish, and I like the idea of having a device ecosystem with
It was pretty good, I thought. I was a fan of Coraline, too. The (admittedly not-remotely-explosive) reaction to "that one line" (which was also the movie's only notable twist) made me a little sad, considering, like, the entire point of the movie. But you know.
Also listening to B2W2 soundtrack while catching up on the Pokemon TBRPG o'er yonder. It's quite nice. But I feel like the version I have is incomplete. Not enough town sounding tunes.
