Nothing like driving up to your home at 1:30 in the morning after working an eleven hour shift at your job and almost having a head-on collision with a deer dashing across the street in front of your next door neighbors house. That is definitely something that gets one's attention.
But seriously, I almost did hit a deer while coming home from work. This actually isn't the first time I've seen them in my neighborhood. I think it's been a couple years since I've last seen them, but they have paid a visit to my subdivision before. I've even taken pictures and film of them during these previous visits.
But like I said, its been a while since I last saw them. So I was not expecting to see them this night. I guess I'll just have to be more careful coming home at night in the future.
P.S. In case anyone was wondering, me, the deer, and my car were not harmed in any way in this incident. We just really startled each other.
