Here's what I personaly think happened. I think he was just so sick of his brother playing with Bionicles, that he made up this entire story. Either that or it was just a prank.

The only way I could think that he would have a BZPower account with "Bionicle fan" as a phrase in it is that he used his brothers account...

 

As for the story, why wouldn't they sue the "bullies" anyway?

I'm 11 and I'm still a massive fan. I get teased a bit (I started the 'Teased' topic) and alot of my friends reckon Bionicle sucks, but I don't get beaten up.

This is truly tragic. The fact that some human beings can have the brutality to beat up a person because of their hobby? This sickens me to the core.

I used to be made fun of at my old school because I liked Bionicle. I was a hated person because those people thought it was childish to own Bionicles, even people younger than me, but the people were never barbaric and self absorbed enough to beat me up. It was just a whole lot of teasing, almost to the point of me not wanting to live, but I still went on. I changed my ways. I stopped talking about Bionicle so much.

It's sad really. Those people that beat up that poor kid really should learn a little lesson about individuality. Its like this, those bullies don't like Bionicle (probably because they are to dumb to put them together), the kid liked Bionicle. The kid gets beaten up because he likes Bionicle. Its quite tragic really. Its like me beating up a person because they like oranges and I like apples instead (but I would never do that). People should be allowed to have individuality. I never make fun of anyone because of their hobbies or what they wear. Individuality is something we just have. Some people are just popular. Sure, us Bionicle fans are picked on, but most of us are smart enough to build some really great MOCS. So when that Bionicle fan is driving his Ferrari to McDonalds, the man behind the counter will be that dude that beat him up. So just think about it, being a Bionicle/Lego fan will get you some good opportunities at jobs, like being an architect, video game designer, all sorts of jobs that get you good money.

 

Also, the Bionicle fan's brother has it all wrong. Bionicle isn't turning people into mindless zombies incapable of thought! It's actually enhancing our thought. IMO, Bionicle inspire's creativity. Weather you are a fanfic writer, a MOCist, a Bionicle Artist, this creativity was all spawned by Bionicle. Just because Bionicle attracts fans it isn't turning them into zombies like the messanger said, because that isn't the point of Bionicle.

I still don't understand why people can't respect the fact that people have individuality. It isn't Bionicle turning people into mindless zombies, it's those bullies. They are trying to convince people that their hobbies are wrong! Well that's silly. People should be able to collect what they want, but I'm just afraid that high school's just like that. At my old school I was made fun of by everyone but my buddy Evan and a few of my other friends, but at my new school, I know a whole bunch of people who are interested in Bionicle. I've showed quite a few people my MOCs on Brickshelf and they thought they were quite cool. So just remember, Bionicle is just one of those hobbies and we should be allowed to enjoy Bionicle while it lasts.

Well, I don't like the way this person shifts the blame to you and the Lego Company. Even if this person was mad he should not have been mad about Bionicle. He should have been mad at the bullies.

If it is real, than I have a lot more comments than if it was fake.

its not your or LEGO's fault, or his brothers fault. its the bully fault, they're just people who beat people up for the fun of it.

his brother stood up for BIONICLE and thats good, if he was strong a bit (40-50%) he shouldn't let the bully beat him up. bullys are a bunch of stuck-up #####'s and are afraid of everyone, thats why they beat up on people.he should have at least punch the bully in a pressure point to show he isnt weak. and if he obsessed over it, his brother should have talked about it

and at least ask him to join something or get another hobby and not dump BIONICLE, and this happened to me with a lot lot of stuff, music i like BIONICLE etc. etc., and if someone with authority was there, the brother who was getting harassed should have told the person with authority, and if they call him something bad just forget about it! it doesn't matter if they call him something, at least he'll be off without getting bruised and beaten.

Sounds kinda like my older brother.

He says that everyone and anyone who works at the Bionicle section of Lego needs to get a life.

I know some of you may not like this comment of mine but if he wanted that to be in the open he should have been able to fight and win. I would be able and I don't reveal anything about Bionicle that I like it at school. A 15 year old should have a better chance against them, even if there are multiple opponents. I'm 14 and I should have been able to win with pure strategy from the samurai Musashi since I've been reading the Book of Five Rings he wrote and he never lost a fight using what he wrote about.

I've been made fun of stuff I liked, but it never went this far. But here is some stuff I'd like to point out...

Now, wasted his life is a bit of an exaggeration. He wasted the time he spent on this one incident. You can't let anger prompt you to make spontaneous statements; that's what this member's mistake was.

"Should have been able to?" So you're supporting the practise of bullies targeting those weaker than them? The only thing you got right about this comment was that some of us would not like it-- "some of us" here meaning "everyone who recognises bullying the weak as an evil thing." While I do not know of this samurai you speak of, I know that samurai, like most organized fighters throughout history, had morals, and I am sad that this book did not focus on that particular aspect.

 

I'm sorry if this sounds like flaming, but I find it disgusting that people would think that those who are not able to fight deserve to be bullied in this way.

Two, he shouldv'e been able to fight back, but my own personal recent studies show that most Bionicle fans are no more than a group of White and Nerdies. I myself fall into this category. It is only with training of certain things that one is to fight back. But this is not the point.

Thridly, one cannot go and become angered about something just because someone else participates in it. The relative couldv'e easily ignored the boy instead of trying to shape his life for him. And his "masks". How pitiful, he cannot address us properly. I bet someone would really enjoy it if I went to a pervert's house and took away all his pornography, and beat the daylights out of him, just because I was sick of looking at dirty pictures. Or how about if I went to Nintendo and demanded them to stop making Mario because he is to kiddie-type? (Anyone who hates Mario hates me, BTW.) I remember shortly after becoming a member that I created a topic in GD which I now consider to be a riot. It was about how people hate Bionicle, but we need to fight back. I now realize to protect our own quarry and they will protect thiers.

I support some of this, but I don't agree with most fans are "White and Nerdies". I personally am not, but that's me, I know of some people on this site who sound like it. If you compared me with some people at the school I attend and you thought about that above statement, you'd probably pick the person who isn't me, who looks like a loser and geek if you actually think most of us are that. Sorry if this sounds like flaming, but I am just responding on anything I must here because of my first post here.
