Hey everyone, I'm thinking of purchasing a used Manas set where one of the receiver units is reportedly damaged. Now the owner claims that it could be easily fixed but I personally have very limited knowledge of electronics so I'll most likely resort to ordering a working receiver unit instead. My question is, is every receiver unit compatible with every remote control or would I need to modify the receiver unit in any way? Thanks.

Hello Fellow BZPers, Today, I once again type in another entry in the saga of my first cell phone(s). Note: To avoid further confusion we all got the same phone. Remember when I got a Samsung Alias Wireless phone a few weeks ago? Well, apparently, my parents didn't like it very much as the keys were too small and confusing for them and the calls kept disconnecting. (I never had the problem since I texted instead of calling. I hate talking on phones.) So we got a new phone but we still have the same company, Verizon. The phone is a LG enV. Have you guys seen a tMobile Sidekick? Well, that's what this phone looks like (kind of). The front looks like a plain non-flip phone with a d-pad, a screen, and dialing buttons on it but when you flip it open on a hinge, it opens to reveal a horizontal QWERTY keyboard layout with the d-pad on the right side. Very cool. What I like about the phone is that the camera on it is much better and hopefully I'll be able to post MOC's on here using it. Also, I love the fact that I can do most things with the phone closed including using the camera, texting, talking (if I ever use it ), and accessing the menu too instead of opening the phone. What I don't like about it is that I'm having a little bit of a hard time texting (ironically) because I was used to my old phone and I don't like how some buttons are laid out. Also, the Alias automatically capitalized the first letter in every text message I typed and the first letter after every period. Very helpful but the enV doesn't do that. One of my favorite things about the enV is that it has a pretty good 2 megapixel digital camera built onto it. For those of you who are not "camera savvy" a 2 megapixel would be the digital quality of a 3 or 4 year old camera. Now the norm is anywhere from 6 to 8 megapixels I guess. I recently took a picture of my cat and you could see all the locks of fur on his chest. That's really good for a phone camera. That's all for now and I might write a review on this phone. ~SB~

Yes, I know that I said I would get a cell phone in the mail yesterday. Well, guess what! It's still stuck somewhere in the United States Postal Service. Grrreat! I was kind of disappointed yesterday because it didn't come and the "genius" that my Mother ordered from on the phone said it would come in 48 hours. By the way, she ordered it on Thursday and yesterday was Saturday (do the math). Next time, if the mail delivery for something takes several days, I'm adding another 24 - 48 hours on the prediction. Anyways, my Mother called yesterday, and the "genius" on the phone said it would come either Monday or Tuesday. So that means if you apply my "clever equation" to this. Don't expect it to come on Wednesday or Thursday. By now, I'm sure most of you are wondering what kind of phone I'm making a big fuss about. Well, it's a Verizon Samsung Alias™ – SCH–u740 in Black. The phone is a normal talk phone with a QWERTY keypad so you can text really easily. Any ways, if you want information on the phone; go to www.verizonwireless.com and type in "Samsung Alias" in the search box. Sorry I can't post a link, I tried but for some reason the page is always unavailable. So, here you go! A picture and information about my first phone, if you take the time to look for it. Whenever If I get it, I will probably definitely (eventually) post a review of it, so keep your eyes peeled on this blog! Also by the way, I think I'll just stick with ~SB~ as my sign off, but feel free to keep posting your input in the blog entry below. ~SB~
