From my knowledge, "bumping" came from the jargon "bump up" like increasing. So "bumping" your post would be adding another post after it to make sure it gets addressed if it were ignored initially. I gather form your response that you knew what I meant. Had you just not heard it called "bumping" before?

What is BZPower's policu on bumping? I didn't find it anywhere in the compendium or Q & A. I know they strictly forbid double-posting, but does bumping really fall under that category if your post is unaddressed after 7+ days (this is not my situation, it is hypothetical)?
