    Saying Goodbye...

    Well, guys, it's been a wonderful six years on BZPower. I've met so many wonderful people, had so many great discussions and gotten to share art and ideas. I'm so glad I could be a part of the community. But I think it's time I say farewell. My interests have changed over the years, and while I will always have a place for Bionicle in my heart (gosh, thinking of the memories I've had on this site and the nostalgia that [1st gen] Bionicle brings makes me want to cry), I've moved on to new things. I wish you all well and will miss being a part of such a great community and a great forum. I may come back every so often to see what's up, but for the most part, this is my last leg of the BZPower journey.

    ...was such an incredible movie. I went to see it with my girlfriend last week and was absolutely amazed. Such an empowering, yet contrastingly sad and heartbreaking story. Beautiful rendition, and a beautiful performance by the actors, notably Benedict Cumberbatch.

    Interesting Finding...

    So I searched my name on tumblr, and I saw someone asking the question of why I end all of my blog titles with ellipses. Actually made me kind of laugh, because there really isn't much of a reason for it. It's really just a habit, and I desperately need repetition, so once I started ending titles with ellipses, I couldn't bring myself to post an entry with a title lacking them. Just thought I'd mention this, because it seriously did make me laugh.

    So I've been writing some poetry lately, and I have two poems I thought were worth sharing on BZP. I'm generally pretty hesitant to post any of my writings, because I'm an extreme perfectionist; but I figured I'd see what you guys think. And maybe I can even start posting poetry more regularly.

    My Light
     
    The sun, the moon and stars combined, don't even compare to the light that shines, that pierces, deep into my heart.
    The light that radiates, that captivates, that enchants my soul.
    The light that fills my dreams at night, never leaving my thoughts, nor mind.
    This light that brightens everything around me, that illuminates my world.
    How could it be that such a light would know me—
    Me, an undeserving man, so blessed beyond words.

    Love So Sweet
     
    Precious words so gently spoken,
    To such a simple man so lost and broken;
    To her he gives his only token,
    Of love so tender and outspoken,
    Of love so sweet.
     
    One of billions of grains of sand,
    Goes off to a distant, faraway land.
    People laugh and shake their heads—
    They laugh at me for dreaming yet,
    Of the grain of sand in a distant, faraway land.
     
    The clock has frozen, time stands still;
    I sit beside the window sill.
    No chance to cry, no chance until,
    Time thaws the frost that holds it still.
    I sit unmoving beside the window sill.
     
    Forgotten songs of timeless light,
    So kind, so pure, so full and bright,

    Spelling and Grammar...

    Seriously, all these posts telling people to work on their grammar and spelling are incredibly disrespectful and unnecessary, and to be honest, kind of annoying. No one on BZPower, or on the internet, for that matter, is obligated to use perfect speech. If that were a requirement, no one would use the internet. No one is perfect. I don't understand why people find the need to be grammar nazis and humiliate users for not writing "properly".

    Oh, Dear...

    Apparently Russia just shot artillery from Russian territory to Ukrainian territory. As I said in my last entry regarding this whole issue, it's all just a complete mess. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Ukrainian people and all of my friends there, and also to Russia, in hopes that this issue will be resolved. :\

    Ukraine...

    I don't know how many of you have heard, but a Malaysian passenger liner was just shot down over Ukraine by, presumably, pro-Russian separatists. I'm not sure how many of you know that I lived in Ukraine for over half of my life, but this is really tough for me to hear. It's already been hard enough learning that some of our Ukrainian friends have fled Donetsk, Ukraine, where we used to live. Donetsk is the epicenter of the pro-Russian rebellion, by the way. Anyway, because of this incidence, we're starting to wonder if we'll ever be able to return to Russia. It's really sad for my family and me, because we have so many friends in Russia and Ukraine, and we're torn apart.

    They're monitor speakers for my music production and all that jazz. They're actually really amazing, and they were only $100, which is a really good price for the quality I got. The speakers are Samson MediaOne BT3s.
