  1. Not that I know of. I'm sure you could give it a try. All you would have to do is take the sprite, copy it twice, take the first copy and convert it to red, offsetting it by "x" pixels and take the second copy and convert it to cyan, offsetting it by "x" pixels.

  2. Why is it that I'm never the first to get a topic done for Ryan? :(

But seriously, enjoy your Birthday, Ryan! Have lots of cake and awesome stuffz, and listen to sexy classical music. If it were possible, I'd buy you a latte, but it might not taste so good over the mail. :\

  3. What is the first Staff Survivor?

If you've ever watched the TV series "Survivor," Staff Survivor is basically a BZPower parody of it (in written form). You can refer to these two topics for any other info (these are Staff Survivor II topics, meaning the second time BZP hosted it).

  4. Seems to have been lost in the archives. :\ Maybe a couple staff have some screenshots or something? If you dig really deep into the internet, you might find a cached version somewhere, but I can't give you any promises.

  5. 1. I'd like to get the last three proto points for OBZPCship. I'll have to give a few lattes to Windy. :)

    2. I've always aspired to being a staff someday, but we'll see how that goes.

    3. I've been thinking of starting up my comic series again, which could be fun.

  6. I think it's a problem caused by the shortened URL of that type. It's essentially if you put the Youtube URL through TinyURL, and tried to put the result it in the media tags.

However, I tried this link as well (and it's not a TinyURL =\ ):

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFPRoL-QSVg&feature=youtu.be&t=1m29s

EDIT: This is what happens when you use media tags with that link:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFPRoL-QSVg&feature=youtu.be&t=1m29s

  7. Or you could go to the Youtube video, click on the "Share" button next to the description, and under that tab should be an option to set the time where you want your link (which is also under the share tab) to go.

This is essentially what my last two points suggested; however, the link doesn't seem to be recognized in media tags?

    Example: http://youtu.be/WFPRoL-QSVg?t=1m29s

    http://youtu.be/WFPRoL-QSVg?t=1m29s

EDIT: It seems like this is an issue on BZPower. Perhaps we should make a tracker issue?

  8. It has to do with the link you use. There are three ways: 1. You can either start a video (on your account), exit, and then go back to it. The video should start where you left off, and your browser will have a unique URL containing the info for the time, 2. you can use this site to get the link for you, and 3. (this is similar to 2., except it's manual) you can take the initial link to the YouTube video, and then add a "?t=xmys" to the end (x minutes, y seconds).

EDIT: They do work, however, you need to add a "?" instead of a "&".

  9. Hey, minibobtwo! Welcome to BZPower! Introductory topics are, unfortunately, not allowed. The General Discussion rules state:

    Introductory Topics

There's no need to say "I'm new here, I'm a fan of Bionicle/____!" Just have fun on the forums and post to threads you want to contribute to. Additionally, "I'm Leaving" topics will be closed. A simple note in your sig should suffice to let people know you will not be on BZP any longer.

I hope you enjoy your stay here! See you around! :)

  10. [Edit No. II- Grrk. More nitpicking =P. It might be helpful if you put the display name of the person in the News Team, as well as their real name.]

I'm not gonna say this is a bad idea, but I will point out that each name has a link to the reporter's profile page.

  11. I've tried all the settings. The image still keeps coming out extremely warped. For instance, before and after. Please not that these are examples, and not the sprite and background I am actually trying to use.

Well, you tend to get a bit of warping occasionally, especially from viewing angles like that (i.e. not 90 degrees, or 180 degrees, etc.). How does it look when you zoom out? Because when it's zoomed in so much, it gets pixelated, and you notice the warping. But from a distance, which is how it will look in comics, it may look different.

  12. I think that a vast majority of forum-goers tend to stick around more than one forum, because those who do, do so to keep up to date on multiple topics. In this case, both forums are LEGO oriented, but you get the point. :P

In all seriousness, judging from just the name itself, Eurobricks appears to be a general Lego forum, while BZPower was originally focused towards Bionicle, a theme that has been discontinued (it's all in the name). Maybe people want to talk about themes that are alive.

I wouldn't say BZP is Bionicle-focused as much anymore. Sure, we have a couple Bionicle-dedicated forums, based on our prior focuses, but now that Bionicle is dead, the forum has taken a more LEGO-oriented approach. I'd say that now most of our focus is on LEGO as a whole, more than anything.

  13. Try a couple different settings? None might not always be ideal. It depends at the angle you rotate at. Simple rotations, like 90 degree rotations, should work perfectly with an interpolation set at none. But other rotations might work better with, for example, bicubic interpolation.

    -Rez

  14.

Change your interpolation to either none, or whatever you like best. A couple of the interpolation settings might work, it's really just your preference.

    -Rez

Thanks! This did get rid of the blur, but the end result ends up looking really warped. Is there any way to fix that?

Which interpolation setting did you use?

  15. Someday, I will take all of my LEGO's, put them in a huge bonfire-like pile, set them on fire bonfire-style, take the melted LEGO, put it into a massive LEGO shaped mold, let it cool and voilà! A massive LEGO brick. Then I'll rinse and repeat until I have enough massive LEGO bricks to build something awesome. No one can shake the LEGO out of me. :)

  16. This is spot on. I have to agree that the dialogue was Über cheesy the first couple of episodes. Realistically the dialogue was never really very interesting in any part of the season (I feel like the dialogue really improved in the second season), but you learn to get used to it. I feel like once it got a bit better, it really didn't hinder the series. The first few episodes also lacked good voice acting. I don't know how the voice actors magically starting speaking more believably and interestingly, but it happened, and I was genuinely happy.

Despite the show's weak spots, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was different, that's what made it so interesting for me. Considering I hadn't really followed the story line of LoC, the show brought me up to speed, and now I really do like the theme.

Great review, and again, spot on. :)

  17. DeviantArt is most certainly allowed. :)

The art is nice. I feel like the coloring is a bit blurry, however, and the lines are a bit rough. Sharp color is a lot more appealing to the eye than when it's blurry; the same with the lines. Other than that, it's a nice drawing. It's a nice rendition of Takanuva.
