    So, I recently got one as I mentioned earlier. I'm thoroughly enjoying it.
     
    Currently I have 3 physical disks and a handful of VC games:
     
    Smash 4
    Hyrule Warriors
    The Wonderful 101
     
    A link to the past
    Zelda 2
    Super Metroid
    Super Mario 3D world
    Nintendoland
     
    I'm planning on getting:
     
    Windwaker HD
    MarioKart 8
    All the VC Metroids and Zeldas
    MH3U
     
    So, if it's not up there somewhere and It's a good Wii U game, fire away, I need suggestions.

    So yeah. I've got one.
     
    It kinda bugs me that when I went to the store to buy it, instead of asking what I wanted they immediately tried to sell me used. Which would be fine, except it's not a good deal, since the new one came with games and wasn't that much more.
     
    So yeah. It's a nice system. I've heard complaints about the graphics but it all looks really nice. And the controller is pretty cool. When I first heard about the system I thought it was gimmicky, but it reminds me more of the 3DS touch screen.
     
    and th fact that there are seven differant controllers I can use with it when playing smash is cool.

    I'm almost off, not a long wait time. But I can't possibly Get a bad or long call.

    So, you know how Verizon used to have unlimited data? Maybe you didn't, but they did at one point.
     
    So anyway, this guy had made a plan change, and went to switch back his unlimited data. Nope. Can't do that.
     
    But the previous rep got his supervisor to submit an IPR to get it back. It worked on two of his lines, but not the third one. And they'd already submitted two IPR's on it. Both of which where explicitly denied.
     
    Not to mention this guy was sitting at a usage level of a gig and a half for the current cycle which is about half over.
     
    Did I mention he was speaking fluent Korean? No. Well, he was. And unfortunately, The term, "Transfer to Spanish tech with a Korean interpreter" Doesn't actually work here. Or I would have. And then high fived everyone on my way out of the call center. If there was anyone else there. (Internal jokes. We have quite a lot of them.)
     
    40 minutes later I was finally able to catch my ride home, who I was unable to contact because "no phones on the call floor".

    If you don't want to explain it again I can't help you.
     
    My supervisor won't be able to read your mind either.
     
    Look I understand you want it I'm just not sure what it is. And it sounds like you don't know either.

    I understand that you would put your supervisor on if I requested but that won't fix the problem.
     
    Okay, please hold while I dig through the account notes to find what you want. But I still have no idea what it is.
     
    Ma'am, you've been talking to me for like twenty minutes, that's slightly shorter then an hour. and at least half of it I was waiting for you to get on the phone because I needed to verify your account.
     
    Okay I think I found what you want, if you actually know what that is. I'll put you through the automated system and just put in this number and get off my phone.
     
     
    So yes, for future reference, when you talk to customer service, if you don't know what you want, but you want it now, we really can't help you. Not sorry.

    Has anyone else tried to put the songs on Google music? My laptop won't even rip them.
     
    And when I try to put the files from my desktop into my Google account, it just doesn't.
     
    The internet seems barren of any info on copyright protection on the CD, and I know that Google music will not upload some music it it was from anothe google account, but I haven't heard of it happening with a CD.

    Edit: Question: If Ganondorf can use the triforce of courage to change into a gigantic boar, why can't Zelda use the triforce of wisdom to realize she can throw the sword that is literally three feet from her into the ring.

    I mean, the people that work there are cool, and generally speaking taking calls isn't that bad.
     
    But man. There is so much misinformation. Like, no, sir, I can't upgrade you a month early. I don't actually have that power. I'm sorry the person you called lied to you. But I actually cannot do that for you.
     
    No. Ma'am. I don't know why your refund didn't get processed. I Realize they said that, but this is what actually happened. I can fill it out for you right now though, Please hold. Sure, I'll get a supervisor right now.
     
    No. Listen, in order to get into the account I need a number tied to the account. I can't just magically bring it up because you need me to. Your MDN is not actually SPI, you can give it to me, and if you don't I can't magically find an account, that's not how any of this works.
     
    The store told you this wouldn't affect your upgrade date, well I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this but that was false, please hold while I scream in frustration that I just processed a free upgrade for you that you are now going to deny.
     
    Sir, we don't have an HR department, I don't know anyone who has access to those records.
     
    I'm sorry your bill is too high, really, I really am, but after giving you several ways to drop down your bill and you denying every one of them, there is not actually anything I can do.
     
    I now have a far deeper respect for anyone in a customer service position.
     
    Except the ones who misinform the customers, you make my life that much more difficult.

    How far up do I have to get in the educational system before the teachers goal is prepare me for life outside of school rather then the next level of school?
     
    Now excuse me while I cram information into my brain so I can take a test and write an essay on memorized information in ink in the span of an hour and then forget about all of it the second I walk out of the classroom. Because that's apparently what going to a university is all about.
     
    Which exactly why I'm at a community college.
     
    Did I mention that the essay is given stupid specific guidelines? No? That one mistake can potentially get it thrown out? No? That none of this information was actually given to us and simply mentioned offhand? That the professor doesn't answer questions regarding any of this?
     
    And this is all really unfortunate because I thought I was going to enjoy this class, and it's to late to back out.

    Now I know exactly why everyone wants the announcement and why we haven't gotten one.

    Today was a good day

    I went out thinking I might get a copy of MH4U.
     
    I was not expecting the Shulk amiibo. But apparently nobody had asked about them and when I showed interest in the new Xenoblade game the employee mentioned he had an extra one in stock. And the Target nearby had one copy of MH4U left.
     
    Score.
     
    Also, don't ask about the pink tinge. I honestly haven't a clue what that's about.

    Super Metroid!

    Finally! It reminds me of when I used to play zero mission when I was younger. (Say what you will, but I found that game immensely entertaining as a child)
     
    Things that have killed me so far:
     
    Some spikes
    A random creature
    A mutant plant from the ceiling (Probably has a name.)
    A freaking chozo statue (Did not expect that one.)

    First week of my job

    So that wasn't nearly as terrifying as I thought it would be.
     
    Though currently I'm doing a paid training in preparation for the actual job, which basically means that you get information chucked at you for 8 hours and that's kinda stressful. But I've done decently on the two test we've gotten so at least I'm doing something right.
     
    (For those who are curious, I'm working as customer service for a company known as AFNI, which is (or at least the location I'm at is) contracted with Verizon for customer service.)

    I'm stuck on the back to back battles with Mistral and jet-stream Sam.
     
    I can take Mistral down pretty easily with little damage to my health bar and no nanopastes wasted, but I just can't figure out the other guy. Am I supposed to be able to parry all of his attacks? Because he attacks, I parry he attacks again, I can't parry then he starts a combo and I'm stunned and can't do anything about it. (The stunned mechanic is the absolute worst) I can get him down to between 10% and 20% and then he just destroys me.
     
    Ugh.

    Nostalgia

    I just found a copy of Metroid Prime: Hunters at my local used bookstore. I know this has never been the best Metroid game, but I used to play it with my friends in my freshmen year of high school.
     
    Oh my goodness. That was like... somewhere between 5 and 6 years ago.
     
    And with that, all I need to have a comprehensive Metroid collection is Super Metroid (and that... other one.). All I need is five coins. So close.

    Wow. I thought Transistor was great. But then I finish this game. Wow.
     
    Thoughts, massive spoilers, click and read at your own risk:(If you ever want to play this game, don't click it, I foolishly browsed Transistor's workshop page and all it takes is one person who doesn't know what a spoiler tag is to ruin the ending.)
     
     
     
     
    I've also had Zia's song stuck in my head most of the day.

    I'm curious about the new one that's coming out, and I tried the demo for MH3, and enjoyed the little bit I've played of it. (I was also beyond awful at it, but, you know, you get used to being bad at games after awhile.)
     
    So, if I do decide to pick these up, what should I be expecting?
     
    I also have a key for the demo if someone wants it, apparently. Just shoot me a PM or respond here and it's yours.

    So I read an article that club Ninendo is closing. (Not said article, that's Nintendo's announcement and FAQ)
     
    Just thought I'd post it here since there are quite a few people who post about the games and stuff.
     
    I also need to find something I can use to get 5 points because I am literally that far away from a copy of Super Metroid. I'll look at getting a VC game or something...
     
    Aso Flipnote 3D is apperantly coming next month as a free download for club Nintendo users. (Finally)
     
    Also: If anybody would like to do a slightly unfair trade, I'll gladly purchase one of the other games in exchange for a Super Metroid code. Anybody not played the original Legend Of Zelda?

    Spec Ops: The Line

    If you have not played the game That right there is pretty close to the entire premise of it.
     
    If you have, you may remember a certain portion of the game having an uncanny resemblance to that comic.
     
    All sources I could gather say this comic and said game have absolutely no link whatsoever. (This comic is from 2011, the game released in 2012 and development started in 2007, with a demo that shows the games direction and tone released in 2009.)
     
    So make of that what you will.

    On getting a job

    So, after a search that was far too long, I've finally, almost employed, and by almost I mean I just need to actually start.
     
    But of course, because nothing can be that simple, I have to sort out some transportation related issues. For one, rather then having me at the call center that is literally across the street (Give or take a half mile) They have me working at one that's by the local mall. Okay, no big deal, I'll just take the bus, except my shift ends half an hour after all the routes are finished. The only bus I can catch won't get me home. It'll get kind of sort of not really close.
     
    So yeah. This is going to be interesting.
     
    But I have a job, and that's a huge weight off of my shoulders. So that's a plus.

    I found Quite a few of the new Bionicle sets at a local target. They did not appear to have any Gali or Onua sets, for some reason, but I think I saw all of the others in varying amounts. Though a few of the protectors might have been absent.

    On building computers

    Once. Just. Once. Would I like for everything to plug in and freaking work.
    But no. It's got to throw a freaking RAM error even though I know it isn't the RAM because I'm using it to complain on my blog that my other motherboard is throwing a RAM error.
     
    Ugh. Is it really too much to ask to have something work properly the first time? First I had to get a new motherboard because the one I have is in a case that won't accept my new graphics card. (My dad works on computers for a living, so he brings me bits and pieces to mess around with because he can't use them at work anymore) So I have to switch to a different case that takes a standard power supply. And now I'm back at the other case that has a power supply that technically won't power the new card, but some fiddling and fancy cables alleviated that, but it clearly isn't offering the performance it's supposed to be.
     
    So yeah. Fun.
     
    So if anyone needs me I'll be doing something that doesn't involve tearing apart a computer for the fourth time today.

    I think I pinned down what's felt off about it.
     
    At the end of Avatar, after the final battle, Aang was shown standing triumphantly on one of the rock structures in the middle of where the battle with a slow, powerful version of the melody that's heard in quite a few of the AtLA and LoK music pieces. followed by a little bit of a time skip when we got to see how everything turned out.
     
    Korra didn't get that. The final battle ended in a huge literal bang and then just fell off a cliff into having a conversation with Kuvira and then her surrendering and it's all over. We get a little bit of winding down at the party, a few conversations, and Korra and Asami running off together.
     
    No triumphant fanfare while Korra stands with a backdrop of the gutted city, No crowning of the earth king that we now know actually might deserve the title.
     
    I still like the finale, but those moments between the end of the final battle and the actual winding down just doesn't sit well with me.
