  1. Well, this puts me out of the contest, no doubt about that. Taking a classic weapon and turning it into a masterpiece of Technic awesomeness? It's just too great! Perfect alignment in the separations and holes, and an actual flame look practically clench victory for you here and now. And you just got by the rule by making it a canon object rather than a character. Even the tubes are right! Best of luck in the contest, man!

  2. Dang, I'm out of the finals for sure. With all these good entrys coming in, I'm dead meat. So, on the Moc, I love it. The elephant look to it looks awesome with the tusks. The head looks like a true monster ready to stalk prey and blast it with fire. The tusks are a nice touch, and so is the fire you added on top of the tusks. The design of the torso is really cool, and the legs are heavily armored which is really nice to see. Love it. However, I hate that grey piece in the mouth that is clearly visable. Really hard for me to not see it. Realy nice Moc Poutwuw, and good luck to you in the contest.~Gravity(check out my entry below!)
I actually put the light gray piece in the mouth on purpose to give it a more mechanical look. Thanks for the nice review and good luck in the contest!
  3. An excellent design and entry, certainly something I anticipate will make it to the finals. And it looks like it would go nicely with my entry as well, though you certainly pull off a more firey appearance which I like quite a bit.
Ha, the same for you! That thing you made is huge and awesome, reminds me of the Kanohi Dragon with bits of Fire Lord in it.
  4. The mammoth/elephant appearance looks great. The tusks are well done and the head is absolutely epic. Although the feet could be in red, this is still pretty cool!
All I had in the red shell department were from Raw-Jaw and Furno 3.0. Those are in use on him, so I went with gunmetal to get more of a hoof-kind of look.
  5. blastodonimg.jpgClick image for gallery^^^(When public) This creature is called by some a "Blastodon", derived from the words blast and mastodon. :tahnok: :tahnok: :tahnok:BACK STORY: It is a being created by an unknown Toa of fire assisted by a female Makuta shortly before the Brotherhood became an evil organization on a small landmass in the Southern Islands. They wanted to create a Rahi that would be able to travel vast distances, through all kinds of environments, and deliver messages with a small bag on its back. They engraved a message to a member of the Toa Mangai on a small stone and placed it in the pack. Rather than the standard mixture of Protodermis and various viruses, it was built, with only the core of a true Rahi. The Toa of Fire transferred some of his Toa Power into the heart of their project, giving it the elemental power of Fire, turning him into a Turaga. At first, the experiment was deemed a success, but when the beast opened its mighty jaws, the old joints holding its mouth together cracked, creating tiny holes and cracks all over its body, which spewed the flames of its core. The building exploded. The city in which it was made was almost eradicated, engulfed in an inferno unlike any other, consumed in the flames. The Turaga was killed in the fire, but his mind was forever linked to the beast, and he became the rampaging monster he created with his own hands. The Makuta who helped create the monstrous behemoth crawled from the ashes to see the beast on the coast of the island roar once again, the flames on its back jumping and dancing, coiling like snakes. The Turaga of Fire, in the body of the Blastodon, turned his head to see his companion struggle to retrieve her mask, which had been knocked off in the explosion. The Blastodon walked toward her, its hoof-like feet leaving huge prints in the charred ground, and grabbed the mask with his long spiked toes. He held it out to her. As she reached out to take it, a large standing pillar collapsed. She saw it coming and teleported away. But she ended up in a more dangerous place, on top of a red-hot fuel canister*. She dug her clawed fingers into the container trying to get back to her mask. With no time to trigger her natural Heat Resistance, the canister's contents caught fire and expanded, destroying her and throwing shrapnel at the Blastodon. He shielded himself with his large Protosteel-plated ears, and mourned the death of his partner. He set the entire island ablaze, and left. Being a mostly mechanical creature, he was able to walk across the sea floor without need of oxygen. Even thousands of feet of liquid Protodermis could not extinguish the beast. He wandered the Matoran Universe, never stopping until his message would be delivered. (*The canister was not destroyed in the first explosion.) I spent a lot of time coming up with possible names for this guy. First potential name was "Flare-o-Don", then "Elephlare" and "Elephlame", then "Combustophant" and "Flammoth" and weird stuff like that. This guy does have a Hero Core on his chest, but only for decoration, not part of his story. Story inspired by the song "Burn it Down" by Linkin Park. I know, the color scheme is a little odd, but it is meant to look like a biomechanical beast made in a laboratory (Same reason for the open holes and exposed pins). Long story short, it's a mostly robotic elephant with the mind of a Turaga that shoots fire out of tiny holes and its tusks when it roars. Entry pic

  6. I would say a strength it's more vague allowing for creativity. With things like BIONICLE there was a solid storyline, and if you created say a rahi, it would be pretty much impossible for it to make sense for another to come into existence. But, with HF, you can create a villain and pretty much any villain would fit in and be able to be fought by any hero. The room for creativity draws in more kids.A weakness would have to be repetitiveness that's been going on. Furno's been released what, 5 times? And when a hero is introduced, they are always put on Alpha Team 1. Excuse me, but isn't AT1 supposed to be for the best heroes? Not for rookies like Nex and Evo?

Evo and Nex were put in Alpha 1 because they were built as expert Heroes. Rocka was accepted because Stringer and Bulk knew him as 2.0 heroes, and he was as good a Hero as Furno.
