  1. I don't know much about Quaza, but I think you're really over-analyzing it. As for Raw-Jaw, though, I will say that I still think Raw-Jaw, Scorpio, Waspix, and Fangz are all species names which can double as given names. This happens several times throughout BIONICLE, including with the Bohrok, Rahkshi, Vahki, Visorak, and Skrall.

That would not make sense, though. Are you implying that there are different types of these animals? And I am only trying to figure out how the scientific properties of Quaza work in a mechanical body, nothing more. I am asking for an alternative explanation everybody! I didn't come up with all of this just for people to say I'm wrong about everything.
If you're going to post a theory, you need to be willing to take criticisms on it. Find out what's wrong with your theory, re-examine the evidence, and adapt to form a new one. That's the whole point. As it is, we don't have much specific information on the workings of Quaza on the body. We know that ordinary civilians can't handle pure Quaza cores being put in their body; the Skull Staff thusly transformed Witch into someone who could handle that energy. You argue that the different reactions of the creatures means that Quaza affects them differently; a completely plausible alternative is that it's based on circumstance and personality. Waspix doesn't thank the Heroes because it is more primitive, and decides to fly away and return to its normal existence. Raw-Jaw thanks the Heroes because it has been struggling with the Quaza effects the whole time, and is relatively intelligent by comparison. The Scorpio doesn't thank the Heroes because it has been seething at being under Witch's direct control the whole time (as noted by its official biography), and is more interested in revenge than gratitude. The Fangz do thank the Heroes (in their adorable canine way) only after everything has settled. There's not much you can glean for a scientific analysis based on so little information, hence why people think you're over-analyzing it.
    point made. carry on, everyone.
  2. Ok, for those of you who didn't notice, FURNO IS UNDERWATER. You can see the Jawblade shark in the background, as well as bubbles coming out of his jets, which are PROPELLERS. He is surronded by coral, and the spear on his blaster is most likely a harpoon. The white on his legs probbly symbolize his elite Hero status, as well as Breez. Surge wasn't given the same upgrade as they were, and that is why he is green rather than red or white. Keep in mind that Evo and Rocka re still Rookie Heroes, so they really don't need anything special. And as for the unique chests, they probably decided to bring back stickers. and the Hero Cores seem to attach by two pegs in holes, rather than one. Also, Breez has a third foot on her back. Rocka has some kind of attachment on his back, but I cannot tell exactly what it is. So far, it looks like the flamethrower/jet/drill part from the Fire Villains. Splitface has a Furno foot on his back, but I can't tell if it's 1.0 or 2.0. Evo has the close shoulders this time. Thornraxx appears to have a new shade of light teal on him, but no one is positive what it is at the moment. B.P. has new addition connectors on him. He has them on his upper arms, which makes them SLIGHTLY longer. These are also on most of the new Ultrabuild Super Hero sets.

  3. First of all, correction: Bionicle is a noun refering to a story, life cycle, and branch of the LEGO group, there is no "s". And as for my experiences, I once saw my Takadox (in April, 2007) turn his glowing head to look at me at night. And my MOCs seem to change direction slightly overnight. How do I know? Stop motion. I left the MOCs and camera in the same spot, and when I turned it on in the morning, I found that they had moved and slightly (but noticably) shifted the angles of their limbs. One of them even had it's mask off...

  4. When you read a Bionicle book, do you read in the voice they were given in the movies? I didn't realize it until last year when I decided to read the 2008 books. I noticed that in my mind, Lewa sounded like a leprechaun, and Kopaka had a quiet scratchy voice in my brain. Then when I read the original Chronicles, I imagined the characters as they were seen in Mask of Light, and they spoke with those voices. Has anyone else had this happen to them?! It's weird!

  5. Ok, I am more concerned with the story than the sets. From experience I can say that most girls don't like a ten-year long story about another alien species based on plastic LEGO figures, especially when it's this complex. I could care less if a girl liked to collect Bionicle sets, but as long as they get the story it's a dream-come-true. Too bad there are only like 7 in existence.

  6. Given what we've seen so far, it seems rather obvious that the Makuta can keep their "cloud" together as long as it's not exposed to the elements for an extended period of time. I see "dissipating" as being more about wind and rain forcibly dispersing the gas rather than it simply being unable to hold itself together. If we go by that notion, then a few tiny gaps in the armor here and there wouldn't do all that much. Chirox began leaking after Mutran blew a hole in him, but we haven't been told the actual size of that hole. I think a small scratch would be fine, but not a large gash. I doubt the Makuta armor would have to be 100% airtight. Maxilos wasn't, and that was a decent body (though Teridax ditched it rather quickly). Interestingly enough, Makuta armor still has actual eyes that can be damaged, as evidenced by Antroz, Chirox and Vamprah. I take this to mean that they do have some sort of face built into their armor in order to wear standard masks without them falling off. It would be a bit annoying if you wanted to swap your Jutlin for a Tryna but found that the Tryna wasn't made to "fit your body" and thus left you leaking. When Takanuva tried to pry off the Krahkaan there is clearly some sort of head behind it, but it glows green, most likely "antidermis". Possibly Makuta shapeshift themselves some crude heads, but they don't bother too much about the face. The masks of the Karda Nui Makuta (especially the mutated ones) were said to be shapeshifted and looked very much like faces already. So if the Makuta uses their mask as the face and just forms the rest of the head via shapeshifting, then ripping the mask off would leave them with no face at all (just a hole ).

Wow, you said what I did and made it make sense. Science+Antidermis=LOGIC.

  8. 1) Stormer already had enough Quaza in his system, and it was overloading his core. The animals probably can take as much power as needed, like Fire Lord, because it goes throughout their whole bodies rather than just to their cores. 2) It says in the beginning that Rocka had been on a mission before going to Quatros. His core was probably already drained, and the fight took out what was left. And we don't know how long he fought the Fangzs. 3) The Scorpio, or Quatros Scorpions, whatever, are probably more agressive anyway. 4) That's like saying Tahu doesn't exist because he wasn't in the Legend Reborn. Just because we only saw 2 doesn't mean they don't exist. And I think you're making Hero Factory a bit more scientific than it's meant to be.

    1) Fire Lord didn't have a Hero Core, nor was he powered by Quaza. 2) That is what I said. 3) Not according to previous information given. 4) I never said they didn't exist. I said Witch only had two.
  9. Ok, I have realized, after watching Savage Planet many many times, that some things appear to be severely screwed up. Here are my theories. Quaza has very strange effects. When the power of raw Quaza is forced into the body of a being with no Quaza already in its anatomy, it was little to no affect, as seen when Witch attacked Scorpio with his Quaza Skull Staff. But, when he did the same to Stormer, he was in horrible pain because his Hero Core was overloaded and his small body couldn't take the immense energy. When Witch put the Quaza Spikes on the animals, their bodies rejected the outside power source because they are techno-organic. But, because the power was injected directly into the spinal cord of the animals, it affected the biomechanical medulla oblongata and caused a drastic increase in aggression (like an alligator). When Witch took control of the animals, the Quaza was linked directly to that of his staff which was also directly linked to his skull face, which is, of course, linked to his own mind. When he took control of them entirely, they expressed anger and pain. When Witch had his staff broken, the lack of the power of Quaza inside him caused a horrible withdrawal and is slowly killing him. The Quaza took over as his primary source of power, acting like an overloaded Hero Core. It is dying because it cannot be recharged, and results in a diseased Witch Doctor. Another thing: Rocka's Hero Core was almost completely dead after a short, easy mission and a fight with a couple of dogs. Nex used a small amount of his own Quaza energy to revive Rocka's depleted Core. Wouldn't that only give Rocka enough energy for a small amount of time? When Rocka was fitted with Lion armor, he must have used Nex's portable recharging kit, meaning there would be no more energy left for the other Heroes. This means he has more energy than the rest of them, and Nex has less. Later, Nex was severely beaten by Scorpio but still had enough energy to fight Raw-Jaw and recharge the teleportation tunnel. The power of the Hero Core seems to be inconsistent. Non-Quaza related: It would appear that Raw jaw is the given name of a specific young Gorrillaphant and not the name of the species. Scorpio also seems to be the name of a large Quatros Scorpion. Waspix may or may not be like that, but the one shown appeared to be female, and cared very little for those who saved her from slavery and, ultimately, death. The same went with Scorpio. When Furno ripped off one Quaza Spike, only one was not enough to control it, but it was still mildly aggressive and gave its own life for vengeance. He threw Furno off his back, and instead of thanking him, he merely looked that general direction and gave a slight nod. Scorpio then was attacked and eventually KILLED by Raw-Jaw. Also, it was said that Witch had a pack of Fangz by his side at all times. In Savage Planet, only two were seen during the entire episode. Am I right? Did I miss anything? Please tell me what you think.

  10. You got one thing wrong. The Order of Mata Nui wasn't established until after the disbanding of the Hand of Artahka, . As for the theory, I'm guessing the Great Beings intended for them to develop a consciousness as soon as their work was done, but they did not specify when programming. The result was Matoran who became sentient after they finished building the Mata Nui rob't. And Toa were also made to help in the construction of the rob't. Helryx was MADE sentient at her "birth" and was not created to defeat evil Rahi. The Rahi were simple animals in the beginning, but some Makuta, (*cough cough* Mutran *cough*) made them more aggressive, and just gave the Toa a little more to do.

  11. Is there a problem? An alternate universe will fix it.Is there a character you want brought back from the dead? An alternate universe will fix it?Run out of places the story can take you? An alternate universe will fix it. Seriously, the first couple of times was a nice idea, but now EVERYTHING is an alternate universe, which then raises the question, how are we entirely sure the main universe IS the main universe, and not just an alternate universe that thinks it's the main universe.

Good point. And I use that a lot in the epic I'm writing. Every non-canon character I use minus my self MOC is from an alternate universe.
  12. I am glad someone brought this up. As we all must know, Bionicle isn't really the chick magnet it was originally intended to be. I mean, I'm a Sophomore on High School and openly show my love of Bionicle. Of course, that does not cause the ladies to swarm all over me. Ask my friend Zee (Toa of Sonics), he kept it secret and had several girlfriends. If it were more appealing to the female audience, I'm sure it would improve the life of forever-alone guys like myself drastically. I am in favor of your first idea, and stand by my opinion for there is really no other way to put it... MOAR CHICKS IN BIONICLE.

  13. I'm guessing They have control over whether or not they let out their Antidermis through their open faces. Like when Takanuva ripped off Teridax's Kanohi, maybe the glowing was Antidermis in its energy form, and Teridax screamed "NO!" because he temporarily lost control over it. And besides, couldn't they create a small barricade to keep it in while changing Kanohi? Like a hand?

  14. Here's an idea: LEGO should make Special Edition Hero Factory Staff sets. Now THAT would be awesome. Like a $14.99 set of Zib and Quadal, a $9.99 set of Mr. Makuro, a "Big Joe" set of 3, with 3 Factory Employees in different colors for $15.99, and new versions of 1.0 villains: Xplode(with 2 of his weapons) and his vehicle thing for $19.99, Thunder and his Nebula Gas Launcher Cannon(and some other modifications) for $14.99, and a $5.99 "Hero Head Pack", with 5 random Hero and Villain heads AND helmets (up to 15 parts, with heads, 2.0 headgear and 2.0 helmets) in different colors. Then they should make a "Retro Mask Pack" which would be a renewed version of the Kanohi, Krana, Kanohi Nuva, and Krana-Kal packs (and maybe Kanoka) all in one, with 3 of each for $5.99. And how about packs with various Tohunga and Mata Matoran body pieces (feet, torso, arms, heads) for $9.99? Also, new STARS versions of the 12 second-most-popular sets (I assume): Kopaka Nuva, New Bohrok (like the Rahkshi), New Visorak, Ehlek, Ackar, Kiina, Lesovikk, Vezon, A baby Nivawk, Keetongu, a new version of Pewku, Teal Tarakava, and Purple Nui Jaga. Then try a merger Special Edition set or two, having a Kanohi and Hero core, or a set with both Hero Factory ball>socket parts and traditional Bionicle elements. AND we can't forget: BATERRA. a $12.99 set would be nice. Then they should just go ahead and give us some more Glatorian. 10 is not enough.
