    In The Hands Of Gold

    As you would know if you read my recent Vezon & Fenrakk Review, I managed to track down a few new 2006 sets: Vezon & Fenrakk, Brutaka, and Toa Inika Matoro. I have proudly displayed them for several days now. And I must say -- they were worth that $65 I spent. (or blew?) Just yesterday, though, I had an urge. An urge to MOC. So I stripped down Brutaka of his gold pieces, leaving his unornamented body to rot on my floor. I then gathered up my other KK pieces of the same gold shade. Originally, I wanted to use a traditional color scheme: gold and white. I built a torso, and limbs of both the arm and leg variety to go with it. I really just wasn't completely satisfied with the results. I wanted something better.
     
    So I started sifting through my old Brickshelf for any kind of inspiration, and saw Lyrxic. I loved some of the basic design elements I used on there. I decided to make another version of it. Only, this time, I'd lose the light blue and replace it with the new gold. I'm going for an armored style mecha look, which should be fun, seeing as the pieces I have in gold are perfect for creating an armored look. I'm currently working out issues with the torso, and trying ever so hard to come up with a working head design. I'll think of something, eventually. After all, I am in the hands of gold.

    Decided to renovate this thing. At first, there were just going to be some minor additions. But then I decided that I wanted to add some spice, personality, you know?     The song is about finding your true companion and falling in love. The strongest bond, marriage, is asked, and is followed by saying that happiness will only be achieved when together. A place beyond the sun is the perfect world.

    Ninjopalooza

    I've been working on an entry ever since I heard the theme on the first of the month. My first thought was to build a simple Toa-type MOC -- teal, black, and silver, with a black hau olda. Then what I had built came out monkey god-awful, so I demolished it. My next idea was to go for a mech-ish look, kind of like my Gauntlet MOC. While starting that, I got some good designs for more of a Toa-type MOC again, so I went back to that. Made some legs and all that good stuff. Now I'm working on finishing it up, and then I'll show a few people. Maybe work on it some more, and then enter it.
     
    It surely has more Ninjousity than some of the other stuff I built, and I'm hoping it comes out better than I'm expecting.

    Crowds And Plumbing

    Firstly, I apologize for not keeping up with this thing. I'm no doctor, but I do play one on the internet, and I can tell you that I have had an extreme case of laziness lately.
     
    Well, anyway, not much happened today. In case you didn't know, my father's house is currently being renovated. The house is being doubled in size. We finally got all the permits together mid-June (took some 7 months), and we started right away. Thankfully, our neighbor is a contractor himself, and he's helping out a lot with the project, doing some labor, and providing my dad with some materials that are saving him tons of money.
     
    The plumbing was put down today. The guy had to dig around with the Bobcat first, which was the most time consuming part, and was what he considered "the hard part". Then the PVC was laid down, and all that good plumbing stuff. At least now I know where my waste products will be going.
     
    When that was finished, I was planning on going to the movies with my dad and stepmom. We were going to see Click (Adam Sandler and whatnot). We went to Muvico, and upon entering the line to buy tickets, saw that just about everything was sold out for the next several hours. We ended up stopping at Blockbuster on the way home, where we still managed to come in contact with a rather large crowd. You have to admit, a fifteen minute checkout line is a bit ridiculous.
     
    We got the movie Jarhead. It was based on a former Marine's book. It was okay -- nothing to write home about, though.

    Normalcy

    After nearly two entire months as Princess Peach, over 1,000 posts in hot pink with a wub smilie, and hundreds of PMs about it, I am finally back.
     
    To be honest, I only have a faint memory on how this whole ordeal even began. The prankee making a typo on the abbreviation “gj” inspired the whole prank idea. That formed my member title, and the avatar, banner, and custom rank image were also formed. A little while before me, one of my fellow FAs was also pranked -- Than. For a week or so, there was a chaotic topic on our pranks, which eventually was spammed up to a point where closure was necessary. Shortly after that, our Matoran of Faux Topic Closing and the Village People was changed back to the Angry Matoran (I’m sorry to report that the Faux Closings do still spring up at times, you have to watch out). However, the Princess still stood tall and proud, just as pink and pretty as ever.
     
    In between all this, another FA was pranked -- Redeemer. Unfortunately, he disregarded my warnings, and what I had left of his hair was thrown into the incinerator. Oh, and if you ever want an easy win at online golf, you know who to ask.
     
    Shortly after that, Omi was united with his favorite fanny packs. At least somebody is enjoying his prank.
     
    Oh, and speaking of Omi, it was all his fault that I had that disturbing banner. My apologies go out to anybody who received any injuries due to this image. I’m sure you might also be wondering about this “caress the server” thing, as it did also appear on the banner, but it’s an inside joke kinda thing that only Tufi and I will fully understand. Again, highly disturbing. Try and push the mental images out of your mind.
     
    For the last several weeks, the PMs I had been receiving about the prank also started changing. It went from people asking about the prank, to people asking if I really was PP, asking my gender, asking if I was ever going to be changed back, asking if Kex had died... I mean, all kinds of things.
     
    And now, alas, Kex is back. To a degree, you could say I “earned” it, but that’s nothing for you to worry about. Just be glad there isn’t a pink fool in the presence of your beloved BZPower. And remember, normalcy is overrated.

    Well, it's kinda not. Mainly because it's technically not my dog. Of course, I end up taking care of it. He's potty trained, but then he's not. He makes messes. He runs away. He's annoying. He drools. Just look at it.
     
    In other news, I'm starting to actively MOC again. I have quite a few things I'm working on. One of which is for my 3 year aniversary on BZP. It's nice to be back in the swing of things. Haven't posted a non-contest MOC in who knows how long. Funfun.
     
    Bah, now some crazyed puffin-lady is going berserk on MSN again, so please excuse me while I find the tranquilizer darts. You'd think three would be enough, but no, it's just not.

    We Are Not Alone

    Today marked the official second day of summer for me. I'm still loafing around, waiting for things to get started. The fun stuff, you know? I've been lounging around the computer for most of the last two days. As this week fades away, things should get much more busy. I'm tripling the hours I have at work, and I have quite a few activities planned out. I'm looking forward to meeting up with some friends I haven't seen in a while.
     
    For the rest of this weekend I plan to be relaxing at home. *turns on WMP again*

    This song means everything to me right now.
     
    It's one big metaphor: there's a guy comparing himself to being a generator for a loved one. He loves her, but she doesn't necessarily love him back. It's about sacrifices that you make to be with the one person you love, the one person you want to spend the rest of your life with. The girl goes into other relationships, but they don't work out. So the generator fires up again and he's there for her. It doesn't matter to him that she may or may not actually love him. He still loves her and he always will. It also mentions that if she wants to die (Swing it round, I'll spin your noose) he's fine with that and then (Swing it round, I'll spin your noose) if you decide you don't, I'll still be here for you.
     
    What exactly does it mean to be in love? This song. I'll be there for you even if you don't love me. At your highest and lowest points in life I'm yours. I'll do anything just to see you happy. You are my happiness. You are my everything.

    This is the song I try to base my life off of. "You're born, you die..." All there really is a beginning and an end... It's what happens in between that makes up your life. Your emotions and your personality make the natural life a lie.
     
    That said, the lyrics should make a lot more sense and the awesomeness should be more apparent. I've listened to this song so many times, and I get something new out of it every time. It can be interpreted in so many different ways, and you really have to listen to it and decide for yourself. I named my blog after this song some time ago. It fits so perfectly, and now you see why.

    New Topics And Such

    So Barraki pics are scanned from the back of the small 2007 set instructions this weekend. Which means that not only do we have pictures of them that aren't leaked, we have even better, detailed pictures of them. Which is very cool, and great for BZP. Naturally, these new sets are going be discussed on BZP. The solution? An incredibly awesome Official Barraki Sets Topic, made by somebody equally (well, maybe a tad bit more...) awesome. If you have any suggestions for it, please do suggest away. FAQ questions would also be helpful. Always feel free to contact me via IM, PM, or e-mail.
     
    Almost immediately, members noticed the strange red markings around Pridak. Using my awesome common sense powers, I decided to create a seperate poll so that my topic doesn't get downgraded in awesomeness because of off-topic spam about blood in Bionicle.

    Jane is dead. Her diary is being read, or in other words, her life. But he keeps looking for where he is in it and he just can't figure it out. So, he keeps asking what she likes. How he can make it better. But he still can't find himself in her diary, and won't ever now since she's gone. He knows there was love, yet it's evident that hate must have also existed -- he received no mention in her diary. He would've died for her, and he says he would put himself right beside her. Now, he's stuck alone and he has to try and find himself.
