  1. IC: (Science District, Volin's Workshop)"Well I'm a reasonably competent mask forger," Critek said, "If you have the materials, I can make some for you to sell." He looked around the shop and added, "You must have some Kanoka in all of this."Inwardly, Critek was somewhat annoyed that he had to rely on his mask making skills again. He originally 'moved' to Techna in order to get out of that profession!

  2. IC: (Science District, Volin's Workshop)"Average?" Critek asked. That would probably make it harder for him to track down who had modified the body he currently inhabited. If he had some actual serial numbers he could probably find where they were manufactured...No, he would press the issue later. Instead he turned back to Volin and considered his sales pitch."Well I'm not sure," Critek said, "It might be useful in the future, but I'm not sure. Maybe-"'Stop talking.'Critek froze. He was pretty sure that he had heard a feminine voice just talk, but Volin didn't appear to be affected. The Matoran then felt a persistent pressure in his head and his eyes shifted again. With his right eye now gold and his left eye dark he told Volin, "I do not require such modifications. I need all of my implants to be synced with my brain. I am not registering damage to them when they are hit. I also need the damage in my left leg repaired."Critek's eyes went back to their green state and he suddenly felt dizzy. When he recovered, he started to pat different parts of his torso as if searching for something. He then turned back to Volin with a rather guilty look on his face."Well, I do need those things," Critek said, "But I don't actually have any money. Um, would you consider a trade?"

  3. IC: (Science District, Volin's Workshop)Critek continued to watch Krayzikk as he exited the store, but as soon as he was gone, the Matoran collapsed to the floor from exhaustion. As he lay in a sitting position and leaned his back against one of the display cases, he turned to Volin and said, "Thank you. I thought he would never give up."Critek slowly picked himself up and continued, "Now about those implants. First do you think you could identify, uh, these?" The Matoran gestured to his arms and legs.

  4. OOC: Krayzikk is actually controlled by Krayzikk Champion of RPGs.IC: (Science District, Volin's Workshop)"Well I was looking for a few things," Critek said as he glanced at Krayzikk, "But I'd rather wait till this ruffian has left."OOC: I also want to give Krayzikk a chance to respond, which might have to wait till tomorrow...

  5. IC: (Science District, Volin's Workshop)"Thank the Great Spirits," Critek said as he tried to move around Krayzikk and toward Volin."I came here looking for some implants and this, uh, thing burst in and started threatening me!" Critek explained while pointing at Krayzikk. It was true if lacking in a few critical details. With any luck, he could get the robot thrown out of the store, thus solving his problem, even if it was temporary.

  6. IC: (Science District, Volin's Workshop)Critek started fidget as the silence lengthened and the robot continued to stare at him. Where was the store owner? Someone should have heard them come inside, even if they were in a back room. The Matoran needed someone to intervene before he had to deal with an unknown, but probably uncomfortable fate.OOC: Hint, hint TX Wade? :P

  7. IC (Science District)As Critek entered, he found what could probably be described as an organized mess. Spare parts, implants, and odd knick-knacks were everywhere but they were all organized into their own groups on different shelves and display cases. What the Matoran found particularly odd was the absence of a store owner; the door had been unlocked and there had been no "Closed" sign. However, before he could call for assistance he suddenly heard a voice behind him say, "So what's with the eye change? I got a good look while I pursued you and your eyes definitely changed."Critek slowly turned around and faced the robot, his left eye green and the other eye dead. With no other chance of escape he would have to stall the robot long enough for the store owner to show up and hopefully send him away for harassing one of his customers."I can honestly say that I have no idea what you are talking about." Critek said.OOC: Time's up for me. I'll be back tomorrow.

  8. IC: (Science District)Critek didn't feel any pain. Sure he felt a brief wave a heat and heard something hit his leg, but he never felt anything. The next thing he knew he stumbled and suddenly found himself falling through the air. He had enough time to run back to the roof's edge, but not enough to time a jump. The Matoran twisted in the air, trying to get his legs underneath him before he hit the ground. He succeeded and his mechanical legs absorbed most of the impact, but it was still enough to send him to his knees. This time he felt something that resembled pain in his hip joints and he struggled to get back to his feet and stumble around the corner and away from the building where Krayzikk stood.Critek looked down his left leg and found that the metal just above his ankle joint was partially melted. He could still walk and run, but he wasn't going to try to jump before he got it fixed. His eye shifted back to green and he began to think. He was currently out of sight of the robot for now, but he needed to hide quickly. He looked up at the buildings that lined the street from where he stood and found himself standing in front of a storefront that read Volin's Workshop. That would work.As he opened the door and entered, Critek tried to think up more options. Maybe Incommodo could help, but unless he had the ability to read minds the Matoran had no way to contact. He then heard an emotionless voice say, "Attempting to establish connection. Please stand-by."

  9. IC: (Science District)While Critek didn't try to look back, he could still hear something very large and heavy land behind him. He then heard the roar of an engine and the squeal of tires, which probably meant that Krayzikk was still after him somehow. The Matoran kept running, but suddenly shot to the right, hoping to send his pursuer over the edge. However, he only heard the sound of sliding tires again and he knew that Krayzikk was starting to catch up. Critek leapt into the air again and landed on another roof. He heard the robot land a few seconds later and he was starting to panic. He then noticed an even taller building that was much too high for him to jump. It also sat flush with the building that he was currently running on, which meant that there was no alley to jump down to. But Critek still had one last trick to try.He continued to sprint at the building at full speed which the robot still chasing him. When he was just about to slam into the wall, he slowed down just enough to run up the building's side two steps. He then pushed off the wall with his legs and was able to propel himself into the air and over the motorcycle that was still coming at him at full speed. As Critek landed, he started to run again, but he prepared to listen to the sound what he hoped would be a simply horrendous crash.

  10. IC: (Science District)In reply, Critek sprinted toward Krayzikk and prepared to jump over him with his right eye still glowing gold. However at the last minute, he fell into a slide and slipped underneath the robot. Once he was past him, Critek jumped to his feet and continued to run before leaping to the next rooftop. He landed in a roll, popped back to his feet and kept sprinting, hoping that the robot was too heavy follow him for an extended period of time.OOC: Thats all the time I have for tonight. I'll have too continue this tomorrow.

  11. IC: (Science District)"Alright, alright," Critek said as his blade slide back into his arm and his hand reappeared. He slide over to the other door and began to open it. He heard the robot's weight shift and he quickly said, "Oh calm down. You told me to get out of the taxi; you didn't tell me which door to use."The Matoran continued to talk as he opened the door, "I mean, aren't you supposed to read me a list of charges and such before you..."As soon as his feet hit the ground, Critek took off toward the alley, sprint as fast as his modified legs could carry him. What he hadn't noticed while in the taxi was that it led to a dead-end. However, his dead eye became gold again and as he was about to run into the far wall he leapt into the air. His mechanical legs were powerful enough to launch him high enough to reach the edge the buildings roof. The impact with the edge was enough to daze Critek for a moment, but he was able to pull himself up to the top of the roof.

  12. IC: (Science District)Critek struggled to remember what he had been told during the briefing on Spherus. They had mentioned that the ADRs were Techna's version of law enforcement, but they had said nothing about different models of the rodots or organic officers for that matter. He could try to push the big scary robot who appeared to have an invisible partner on the issue, but it was much more probable that he would end up in a jail cell regardless. He couldn't fight the robot, even if he wasn't in a hover-taxi. That meant his only option was to run.The Matoran quickly analyzed his surroundings. The taxi had two doors, one was open and was blocked by the robot and the other was closed, but offered a straight line to an alleyway. But first he had to see if he could just talk his way out this situation; he didn't need a bounty placed on his head for being foolish again. Maybe the blade wasn't a XZ Flame...whatever, whatever."I actually don't remember what model it is, it was so long ago," Critek said as the blade slowly emerged from his arm. He tried to offer it as innocently as a four-foot sharped object could possibly be and continued, "Maybe you might recognize it."

  13. OOC: Internet trouble...IC: (Science District)"Uh, no." Critek said, "I mean I have an arm blade but not that model. Is there anything special about a X-Fire Z-1020 blade?" Of course it was a partial lie; his blade probably was that model, but he didn't actually know that. He then came up with an idea."Could I see some identification please?" Critek said.
  14. IC: (Science District)Critek starred at the spot that Incommodo had previously occupied for a few seconds before telling the taxi, "Technology Tower please."As the taxi prepared to take off, Critek had a chance to collect his thoughts. He was in an unfamilar body, in a relatiely unfamiliar place, traveling with a Toa may or may not have escaped from a hospital for the mentally unwell. He needed to find someone who understood implants and the area around the Tower appeared to be a good place to start. However, the taxi suddenly stopped and a rather large humaniod rodot approached him."Would you happen to know anything about the destroyed security 'bot back that way?" the robot asked.A whole list of unpleasant words suddenly ran through Critek's head but he finally replied, "Um, no, not really. Um, I really need to go. I have to meet someone and it would be a very bad idea if I kept him waiting."Of course Critek didn't realize that he was saying the worst things possible given his current situation...

  15. IC: (Science District)Critek felt his rage start to grow as his eyes started to shift again. It would be easier if he just killed the Toa now. Thankfully, he was able to suppress the desire and he let out a sigh. It was going to be a long day.As he gently placed a hand on Incommodo's arm he said, "Look, lets flag down a taxi and head toward the Tower. I need to learn more about my... modifications."

  16. IC: (Science District)Critek continued to stare at Incommodo, still trying to decide if the Toa was actually crazy or just a little, confused."I'm Critek, I think I mentioned that before," he replied, "Look if we're trying to figure out where we are, maybe we should head toward the largest landmark we can find."He then pointed past Incommodo and toward Technology Tower as it loomed above the skyline, which the Toa appeared to have missed.

  17. IC: (Science District)Critek studied the rather strange Toa for a few moments. He was definitely odd and appeared to be harmless, but he did have power over magnetism, which gave him a huge advantage over the Matoran. I would be safest if he killed the Toa now before he had any chance to suspect...'Wait, where did that come from?' Critek thought to himself. There was something wrong with his head and he needed to figure out what it was. But first the Toa."Um, excuse me Mr. Strange Blue Toa," Critek said cautiously, "Who are you exactly?"

  18. IC: (Science District)Critek flinched as the Toa was suddenly side-swipped by a taxi. He hit the ground hard and didn't move. Thankfully the ADRs were too busy trying to detach themselves from each other and they eventually flew off to another part of the city.Critek waited for a few minutes before slowly creeping out to drag the unconscious Toa back into the alley. The Matoran then started to lightly tap the Toa's face and said, "Hey buddy, wake up. They're gone."

  19. IC: (Science District)"Those ADR things," Critek replied, "I may have... accidently destroyed one of them. I didn't mean to, I don't even know what's going on, I just got here."As he spoke, the Matoran could hear the ADRs drawing closer.

  20. IC: (Science District)"I'm... Critek..." the Matoran struggled to reply. One hand clutched his side as he waited for the throbbing pain to stop. The taxi had not been going very fast when he hit it, but Critek had not been able to slow down enough to avoid the vehicle. He was about to explain his story to the Toa when he heard the low hum of the ADRs approaching.Critek attempted to drag himself farther into the alley as he pleaded with the Toa, "Please don't let them find me."

  21. IC: (Science District):Critek continued to sprint down the streets of the Science District as balls of energy from the ADRs flew past his head. He was fast but he couldn't run forever, espically when he didn't know where he was going. He suddenly changed direction, throwing himself toward a nearby alley in the hopes of throwing off his pursuers. If he could break their line of sight long enough, he could probably hide in one of the other buildings...However as he turned another corner he suddenly found himself mask-to-bumper with hover taxi that was beginning to take off with a dark blue Toa. Without any time to slow down, Critek slammed into the taxi and rolled off of it onto the ground. Dazzed, Critek crawled into another alley and tried to hide himself as best he could. He wasn't sure if the taxi had stopped, but if it had he hoped that Toa didn't decide to reveal his location.

  22. IC: (Science District)Critek had been told that the transfer process was completely painless, that he would fall asleep on Spherus Magna and wake up on the Techna Nui. They had been lying. Critek's eye shot open as he screamed in pain and held his head in his hands. It was as if red hot needles were being hammered into his forehead. After what felt like hours, the pain finally subsided and Critek was able to comprehend his surroundings. The first thing that struck him was how dark and dusty everything was. He was supposed to have awakened in a nice little room in the housing district, but this looked like some sort of abandoned building. The next things he noticed were his limbs; his arms and legs were obviously made of metal and very bulky. He had not ordered these implants back on Spherus Magna. After a few attempts, he was finally able to haul himself to his feet and stomp toward a mirror. He almost screamed again when he saw his reflection. His mask was a Melmora, a mask normally reserved detectives and other members of law enforcement and again something that he had not ordered. What really confused him were his eyes. His left eye was green while his right eye appeared to be dead, however his vision didn't appear to be affected. Suddenly rage started to build inside him and his right eye turned gold while his green eye disappeared."NO!" Critek screamed as he smashed a fist into the mirror. As shards of glass fell to the floor, Critek felt his anger subside and his green eye appear again. He starred at his hands as his mind tried to think; he had never felt anger like that before, as his time forging masks had taught him the value of patience. His head suddenly flared with pain again, but not as severally as before. It almost felt as if his brain was being pushed against the inside of his skull. The pain eventually faded, but he could have sworn that he heard an angry female voice whisper, "Your fault."At that point Critek started to panic. He ran toward the door with his shoulders hunched and plowed through it as if it was made of paper. He was quickly dazzled by the light and he tried to calm himself to see where he was. He couldn't see any other Toa, Matoran, or other species around, but off in the distance stood a very large tower. Critek recognized it as Technology Tower from the briefing he had received before the transfer. So he was Science District, but why?As he stood there gazing at the skyline a hovering robot the size of a Matoran flew up to him."Identification please," The robot said. As Critek tried to think of a response, his eyes shifted again and his right hand disappeared into his arm and was replaced a very large blade."Identify this!" he screamed as he thrust the blade into the ADR. The blade cut through the robot's armor and hit something vital as he collapsed to the ground. As Critek regained control he starred down in horror at the robot at his feet. Before he could do anything else, five more ADRs appeared from behind various buildings and began to hover toward him."Oh Karz," Critek muttered as he took off in a sprint.

  23. Name: Critek/Unknown female HackerGender: MaleSpecies: Heavily modified S-toranAppearance: Critek’s torso and mask are a pale mint green and are a standard build for a Matoran. However his arm and legs have been replaced with fully mechanical implants/grafts which make him a head taller than most Matoran. His legs are large, double jointed, and are a tarnished steel color. His arms are also this color; his right arm is bulkier than his left which hides a very large and very sharp blade. His left arm does not have a special function but it is just as heavy as his right arm, just so he can keep his balance. When Critek himself is in control his left eye is green and his right eye appears to be dead; when the Hacker is in control his right eye becomes gold and the left eye appears to be dead.Kanohi: Melmora, Mask of Memory Recall; its appearance consists of the lower half of a noble Rau and the upper half of a noble Mahiki. Allows the user to instantly remember anything and everything that they have seen or learned. While Critek’s synthetic brain would ordinarily be able to perform this function, it is under too much stress trying to keep his personality and the personality of the Hacker separate from each other. His mask is the only thing allowing him to function as it allows him to remember how to walk and how to talk as well as high brain functions.Powers: NoneWeapons: Arm blade (See below)Implants: Critek’s mechanical legs allow him to run faster, jump higher, and kick harder than most Toa who do not use a Kanohi or implant to modify their attributes. His arms make him slightly stronger than average and his right arm conceals a large blade that replaces his hand when it is engaged.Personality: Critek never possessed a very forceful personality and his current situation has made him even more timid and withdrawn. The Hacker’s personality is extremely aggressive and confrontational, constantly attempting to lash out at whoever gets in her way.Alignment: NeutralBio: Critek recently ‘moved’ to the Techna nui in order to escape the boredom he felt on Spherus Magna. He possessed enough skill as a mask maker to earn more than minimum wage, but not enough to move any higher in the ranks. On a whim, he sent in a request for a new body there and was approved a few weeks later. However as his personality was being transferred to the starship, complications occurred. Either by accident or design his personality was suddenly shunted into a completely different body that lay inside an abandoned building in the science district. To make things even worse another personality was picked up in the process, that of a female Hacker from somewhere else on the Techna nui. Trapped in an unfamiliar body along with another hostile personality and with almost no information on the trouble currently brewing in Techna, Critek is experiencing more excitement that he had originally planned.
